    Everquest Legends

I'd play it if it were a $20-30 box price and no subscription. A subscription on an MMO is an automatic no for me. Mostly because it makes it so I don't actually feel like I own the game. If I decide to stop playing for a year and come back, it feels like I'm basically paying the box fee again...

    BB.com Misc Refugee Thread

Misc was already a shell of itself for years before it shut down. Now years removed, I doubt most users are coming back.

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

Are they still sticking to their EA launch in a few months? It seems like they're basically doing a complete redesign at this point. It's starting to give me the same vibes that Ashes of Creation did where you're just like...what the fuck are these people doing?

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

Seems like we get a minor variation of those people here who just want the most painful possible mechanics. It's not a real MMO unless you have to spend 23 hours a day playing. Which is something I think @Kirun got to in a recent post, where it seems people are confusing difficulty for time...

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

It's memorable in the worst way. Instead of actively engaging in the game, I'm forced to do a frantic corpse recovery to not lose everything I've got. And in the course of that, the game threw an impediment that's basically insurmountable to waste my time (I should also add I even had a bard...

    Investing General Discussion

Down about an entire year's worth of expenses today in net worth. Which I guess is actually a good thing, because it means our withdrawal rate is sub-3%. Definitely annoying, but then again, we're also still up massively this year.

    The Odyssey (2026)

Yeah, but just imagine the epic battle scene with this banger in the background? It's got over a billion views, so that's how you know it's good.

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

Sounds like the ideal MnM experience they're going for. Reminds me of my story from a year ago where I died because I couldn't outrun a crocodile across the entire length of the zone, and when I went to find my corpse a sandstorm that lasted an hour started. Quit looking out of frustration...

    Adrullan Online (Formerly Evercraft)

The twinking thing is interesting. Assuming anyone from their team reads this, would making an account flag based on the highest level solve it easier? For instance, an account has a level 40 and 10 character. The account level is 40, meaning you can give an item from any range between 0-40 to...

Monsters and Memories (Project_N) - Old School Indie MMO

I mean, even beyond that...they're claiming this game is notable because there are early level dungeons? Mixed tier level zones? Crafting? I don't even understand why they're pointing these things out. They're in literally every fucking MMO. It's like they actually think they're a direct...

Yeah, but how many of those 40% are on gimmiedats that cover 100% of their expenses?

I don't know how anyone can read that and be hopeful about this game.

    The Mandalorian & Grogu (2026)

Watching the Drinker video on Backrooms, and it makes me think it's not that movies or the theater experience is dead post-covid, but rather everyone has just rejected the dog shit Hollywood has been putting out. I think we all like to point out Endgame and covid as the end of an era, but I...

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

Every time I see anyone talking about BTC price fluctuations, it rips the mask off all the statements they make about it being a revolutionary currency or whatever nonsense they spout (no offense, @Flobee). People are in BTC to make money as a speculative asset. Period. If there wasn't a...
