This game is walking a fine line between the correct way to do early EQ nostalgia and a modern game. Stuff like the AH is cool, but they need to make sure they don't add EVERY modern convenience or it'll lose the charm of going to town to trade and show off your shit and get buffs and stuff...

You can get lightning as extra damage from all sorts of sources. There's even a 6% one that USED to have immune to shock ground right around the Witch area. That's all you need. Edit: 6% PASSIVE, sorry I'm big dumb. There's a 6% extra as lightning passive just above the Witch starting area.
