Stopped reading here so maybe you already got it but the odds would be in your favor. The way the game works for that socket recipe it rolls random # 1-6 every time (max sockets on any item 6). Your Crystal Sword can only get 4 max IIRC so if it rolls a 4, 5 or 6 your sword will get 4 (50% chance).

Not doubting you but mathematically BWL would drop 1-2 tier pieces per boss x 8 bosses = 8-16 drops per raid, in a 40 man raid that is 0.2-0.4 tier drops per raid per person. 3 in 1 run would be a pretty solid outlier not surprised you remember it 20 years later lol

Everyone should get their own raid* instance, sharding maybe for dungeons. The reality is that nobody with a job or a real life wants to sit around letting a bunch of nerds monopolize content in 2026, that shit just won’t fly like it did 1999-2002ish
