    The problem is that it's too human. It's triggering the uncanny valley response. The original alien looked more spider-like than human-like, and this is just far enough into human-like territory that it stops looking completely alien and starts looking like a disgustingly mutated human.

    Just consider the campaign, regular monos, and sub 300 corruption the tutorial. The game gets as challenging as you want it to be at high corruption.
