The MMORPG genre peaked in the mid 2000s when widespread broadband access made the persistent online worlds possible and the idea was novel, then fell into irreversible decline once voice chat was added and people realized the hot elf chick is really a middle-aged man who talks out of his nose.

Watched 8 Mile for like the 20th time. Even though it’s a well received movie, I don’t think it gets enough credit. It’s very well constructed, well acted all things considered, great music and great cinematography. Good message behind the film too. Strong 8/10 for me.

The photorealistic CGI animal shit is garbage. The animals can’t emote nearly as good as in cartoons and they look stupid as fuck when they talk. Guess they invested so much in developing the models for the first they figured what the hell.

Most projectors aren’t bright enough to get much of a benefit from HDR in the first place. Only the higher end laser projectors are getting there.

I don’t hate the Zendaya casting as much as everyone else (at least she looks like a sand American Inventor) but there was nothing remarkable about her acting here.

If the academy awards still meant anything, I would say that Javier Bardem should win best supporting actor. Rebecca Ferguson deserves at least a nomination as well.
