I logged in for about an hour to create a wood elf and see the progress made to the Kelethin city. A lot had. It seemed playable with plenty of mobs and NPCs populated. So I guess I fall into that 35% group that didn't play much. But I will play at release of EA. There's just a lot less reason...

Remember when everyone complained about the darkness making it unplayable and now it’s fixed? No one is complaining about combat, loot, bugs, or actual gameplay. Fun game confirmed. The MAPists can stay disgruntled.

All the complaining about not having a map, when you learn the cities layout by playing for like 4 hours and doing the noob quests that lead you around. WOW, you learn the game world by playing — a novel idea for an RPG in 2025.

The next step in the quest where you have to leap across a balcony and and sneak into a gangs hideout at night is tricky. Bring a friend to kill the guy. He can also run at low health which can get nasty quick.

The fact that 99% of the complaints are about the same 3-4 gameplay elements tells me that the game’s development is going pretty well.

I bet when that nerd made his YouTube video about 10 boxing EQ, he didn’t think it’d be used as evidence in a lawsuit that destroys an entire emulation industry.

I don't know about that. EQ's biggest carrots many times were getting items and abilities that made the game easier. The game was more fun once I had peg cloak, jboots, and invisiblity clickies. Being too low to acquire those items made me want to log in, level up and try to get them.

THJ doesn't fall under Fair Use by any stretch of the imagination. If it does, then I'm going to torrent every Disney film, change the audio/dialogue of just a few scenes, then rent out local theater screens to play my 'new' films. You can come watch for free but if you want to support me buy...
