Did some quick reading, and basically every article says that spring predictions of El Nino are laughably poor, and you really have to wait until August or September. That basically these are just more "climate models" predicting doom and gloom.

Do you need the money in the next 6 months? Do you expect the market to be higher in the next year or two? If no to the first, and yes to the second, why would you exit the market? Do you know something that everyone else doesn't? Otherwise you're gambling on maybe a few percentage point...

That's exactly what I was talking about. Everything always leaves out the earth and moon hurtling around the sun part. Which makes the entire prospect insane to me. Thanks for that.

That's kind of what I was also wondering about. I've got to say, if I were an astronaut that's putting an awful lot of faith in the math of the guys who plan the mission. Miss the moon's orbit and off into space you go.

That was us. Retired basically November 1st in 2021. Think we took a 20-25% haircut just 3 months into it. We've recovered and then some, obviously.
