Adventures with lyrical - buying a business

Luckily for you GMAT prep is really easy/cheap - just buy the offical GMAT study books that have actual questions from past test banks and and then download the computerized test from the GMAT website. I think I spent $100 or so for the three books and the test was free, pounded out practice...

Reminds me more of Eomer than Lyrical: I mean, I could"ve started working for my dad (financial planner/asset manager) when I was 18 instead of going to university, and started taking over his clients as he transitioned to retirement, but I decided to go to school and do it independently rather...

I mean, your personal financial statement would look thin on paper - especially since you"re about to quit your job entirely. Your wife would definitely have to co-sign any loans, I don"t know what your situation is there, but anecdotally, almost all of our problem loans that I worked on had...

Adventures with lyrical - buying a business

I have worked for a "community" commercial lender for the last couple of years; for C&I loans (commercial and industrial loans, not secured by real estate), we"d usually want to see three years of personal tax returns, three years of business tax returns (if it"s not a start-up business), three...

Would you hate your life, if you were this ugly, and your GF was this ugly and fat?

Christ, shit like this thread makes me glad I don"t show up in google search results for my own name. I just caught up on all of this thread in one sitting and it has been great e-Detective work, everyone... thanks for the giggles.

Hey, home prices will always increase over time, right? Sorry, it was pretty accurate in the areas that I"ve lived, so I thought it was a fair shot. Your mileage may vary on it I suppose.

@Chaotic - check out zillow.com if you"re just looking for real estate listings/photos/prices. It does an OK job of showing pricing trends in an area and keeps track of recently sold properties on the map as well. Alternatively you can just get straight at the MLS data if you"re just browsing.

I don"t know much about Canada other than some old guildies who used to live in Victoria. Why are the home prices so expensive over that way? Are wages comparably high to make it affordable? I didn"t think west Canada was such a hotbed of economic activity.

Relax bro, this sort of thing can happen, you wouldn"t believe how many hands touch your mortgage before all is said and done. If your closing docs said 70$, and their docs said 70$, then it"s 70$. Just call back when they indicated and keep your cool. There absolutely is no way they can inflate...

Jesus fuck, Eomer. Condo fees around here aren"t even half of that. Must be a fancy place.
