Would that rule be 20-25% pre or post tax?

true.... good point. We most likely won"t need the space for another 2 -3 years, so we could do chunks of it over bonus"s, OT and tax returns. Little more research its looking like 25k or so, so would be tough for 9k a year extra, but looking at our current expenses we could put dents into it.

Ok so... Need some help... We just found a home which has 3 bedrooms/2 baths which is fine for now, however eventually we want 4 bedrooms + bonus room or a 5 bedroom with bonus room. It has an unfinished second story, which is about 1300 square feet, thinking we could get 1k out of it...

I just can"t believe any one in their 20"s is putting down 20% on homes unless they are starter homes.... Most average (stay in for year homes) here are around 250k+ so 20% would be 54k...... Unless your a hermit, no way you would of saved that by like 27..... if you did and went to college...

The Cut is right. It took 62 days from my offer to be countered by the bank, and then another 2 weeks to hear an approval. After that however, it took another 2 weeks to get them to turn on the water to allow a inspection. Ended up walking away due to a relocation, but we aren"t holding our...

Doing it to make it livable. Based on my appraisal I just got for my town home, houses are still tax value and appraised for what they are 2 years ago. Government is going to let their income drop, but they are selling/worth to consumers the price for 2 years ago. You can"t count short...

Well hopefully the initial appraisal comes in around 130k, thats what I"m hoping for. Just the land will appraise for 90k being the size/lot in the city, but I"m just going to wait and see for sure when I get my initial appraisal hopefully within a week or 2. I"m not thinking me putting in...

Well I"m not planning on taking the HELOC from my town home. From my understanding when I apply for the Home Equity Loan(don"t want a home equity credit, already have a credit card) they will appraise the home if I want/ask them to determine the new value. I"m buying the new home at 115k with...

Sigh still waiting on bank approval from my submission on February 3rd. Talked to the other Realtor today, the sellers have been dragging their feet, but dropped off the requested additional paperwork to the bank today. Don"t know what this could be, promissory note? Hopefully we hear back...

Let us know what happens Tenks! My seller approved the offer on the 8th, and it was submitted to BoA on 8th/9th, but I haven"t heard anything back, and probably won"t until the end of the month at the earliest I"m guessing. I actually tried to call the BoA short sell department today to see if...

Hmm I wonder if thats the 4300$ sewer assesment thats due on the home right now? Or maybe included in it... Is the water bill the only bill you got like this? I may contact water resources just to follow up on that.

Did the bank end up accepting it or kicking it back? I"m wondering, also if they accepted and moved forward, did you have to pay for the power to be turned on during the inspection, or will the bank pay for that little bit?
