Yup this thing starts really slow but it gets pretty good once it gets rolling and the female spirit of van damm begins to infuse it with humor and awesomeness. It also has one of the most hilarious scenes of a woman finding out the hot guy she is dating is gay.

I noticed that too....fucking nasty. It's a good thing I fucking hate children and live a life without any hint of their presence. I could never be excited or into banging a girl that's had that happen to her. It even made me lose my chub over the Iceland girl

The show was pretty well acted, and I did start to care about the characters. But I think it could have been better. I sort of felt I was trudging through it for what amounted to little payoff at the end. But I think it laid a pretty good foundation for a season two. I'll give it another shot when it comes out. But they have got to pick up the pace and maybe try not to hammer on the social issues quite so much.

It started picking up pretty good around episode 5 and later as at that point enough of the ground work of what was going on with these people started to be laid and they started doing more interesting stuff with it.

I went in with very, very low expectations after Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending but so far pleasantly surprised. Only watched first two episodes but really enjoying it, great characters and actors and interesting story so far. I have a feeling the story isn't going to hold up very well but its enjoyable ride so far.

and holy shit at the tranny, i feel like i'm in the crying game or some shit. she looks pretty damn good, my penis is very confused

I encourage people to not binge-watch this series and rather take your time with it. I'm enjoying it a lot but I thi k it works better if you space the episodes out.

Binge watched the season. Better than I expected, but it was mostly setup for season 2. Felt like 95% character development 5% overarching sinister plots.

Yeah, the season definitely picks up towards the end, it's just that all of that momentum seems wasted since you barely get any time understanding the real conflict and villain. Considering how much ofSense8was spent on character development, it made Whispers feel hollow and like generic_evil_scientist00. The show has a lot of potential and has a good premise, it's just that the Wachowskis need a script supervisor that knows how to properly set the pacing of a television show. The first half of the season could've been reduced to one or two episodes, which would've allowed for more of the actual story. But now that they have most of the setup out of the way, I'm anticipating season 2 being a lot stronger.

Putting this on my list seeing as how you guys say it's worth a watch. After Breaking Bad, from which the first season was kind of meh up until that first episode with Tuco in it and then it just gets better and better incrementally, I'm willing to give something at least a full season before making a call on it. Hell, Arrow, AoS, two of my favorite shows, didn't come out of the gate swinging but they're kind of awesome now.

It's definitely just a Drama, it's all about the characters. It doesn't move fast, and there is minimal action (though there are good fight scenes). I think it has an interesting dynamic and I'm looking forward to season 2.

This show is mainly driven by the need to use a lead pipe pushing social issues Not only is every member of the LGBT community represented in the show. The premise is quite literally a parallel to that same community. A race of people who are "different" than the rest of society that are persecuted for no other reason than the fact they are different. A mother who would rather have her child lobotomized than be different. The main antagonist uses his own unique brand of "gaydar" to spot those that are "different". And of course he is a white old dude who if he can't change theSense8he would rather kill them. Just in case you're not quite able to get the message. But if the show can get past its need to push that agenda and actually focuses on making an interesting sci-fi it could be good. Season 2 will let us know what direction they plan to take.

Agreed. It's a very thin veneer of sci-fi premise painted over a sexual identity agenda. Which wouldn't be so bad, except for the in-your-face-over-the-top gay porn scenes, and the fact that the tranny just isn't a very good actress. Which comes across very strongly when she tries to talk about hacking.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say that nearly every hacking scene/scenario presented on television is pants on head retarded. The scenes inSense8are no exception. Best to ignore them and move on. Comparison video provided below.
