So we agree that you are a [flavor of] racist? The standing board policy is no blatant racism - which is what got you put here in the first place.

I don't necessarily disagree with all of your points, but it seems silly to go against the board rules then try and weasel out of punishment.
Unjust laws exist; shall we be content to obey them, or shall we endeavor to amend them, and obey them until we have succeeded, or shall we transgress them at once? Men generally, under such a government as this, think that they ought to wait until they have persuaded the majority to alter them. They think that, if they should resist, the remedy would be worse than the evil. But it is the fault of the government itself that the remedy is worse than the evil. It makes it worse. Why is it not more apt to anticipate and provide for reform? Why does it not cherish its wise minority? Why does it cry and resist before it is hurt? Why does it not encourage its citizens to be on the alert to point out its faults, and do better than it would have them?

Also I don't like the lack of edit here!

Let's not pretend we have a "no racism" rule; we have a "don't be mean to black people" rule. Which is great, it should exist. For all races.

If this was the message you were pushing [altering unjust laws] I'd be 100% behind you, but it's not. You were being non-productively, blatantly racist then after the fact cry foul about the current amod stance and pointed out the double standard issues the MEC thread. Take the time to lick your wounds and come up with a better argument to fight the amod safespace otherwise you're going to be considered straight trolling and will continued to be "censored".

I honestly didn't think that much of GSS. The book could have been summarized to 3-4 chapters instead of bloating it out to say not all that much more with repeating itself. Maybe I'm biased because of how much it was hyped up to me - but it's not a book I'd suggest buying over reading a critical summary of.
See, to me it was a masterpiece. A life changer. It felt like reading Origin of Species or Grapes of Wrath. It is laid out so gently, so thoroughly, so meticulously, so rigorously, that you're left a bit in awe of the amount of work that had to go into acquiring this much knowledge. Not only that, but wielding it adequately and comprehensively. Laying it out so skillfully.

GGS, in a way, freed me from having to rely on the race answer.

Because I am willing to say that the European -> American movement of culture was a positive one.

If I am to explain how the people with white skin were able to subjugate vast swathes of the globe, without simply saying "because they had white skin", then I am going to have to come to a level of deeper understanding in matters such as this. Maybe its because of my city, but this subject interests me greatly. I cross that real race line all the time. I know the solution isn't in focusing on our races. It is rather in our ideas. Our values. Our things we hold sacred. That is what is different. The skin colors range all over the meme spectrum. The races can scatter and blend. Sacred ideas are what people truly coalesce around.

We must keep sacred the secular enlightenment of Europe and the ancient humanism of the golden rule. I'd also add a pinch of taoism, for dilution intended in artistic rendering. But whatever the various memes or ideas, we can now know that the races and the genders and the galaxies of origin don't matter.

It's about ideas, not morphology. The West didn't invent the frigate or the tank because their skin was white. They got there very gradually and it took a long time and a lot of factors. Many of which can be traced back to the land. Which makes sense, because we are animals after all.

I'm glad it changed your life, but my experience was no where near eye opening. GSS is far from the first thing I read to explain the importance of geography/resources/immunology on the development of humanity and the reasoning behind European dominance for the majority of history. Most of the arguments presented were covered for me in my honors western civ class // origin of religion. :/

Isn't that a selfish viewpoint, "well I already knew so it's not that great". Ok what about everyone else?

The PCM in my car decided to take a shit, locked me into 3rd gear all the way to the dealership where it is currently being repaired completely under warranty. They gave me a loaner car but it's like that dark glossy red that I hate.

Fuck my Life.

My buddy had one of the RX8s when they made them. He had some warranty work done and they gave him a Mazda Speed Miata as a rental. That was a fun week.

I love Mazda's had like three of them. Great daily drivers and I've had great luck with them.

I'm in the market for a Jeep now though.
