@Woolygimp - Would you mind humbly & respectfully suggesting a site/program that lets us set up our own tourney (and hopefully chipstacks and blind levels) for a RR tournament? Play money is fine.

Be Cool, Rod...

You have it downloaded already? After the WSOP thing, I don't want to give these fuckers all my info only to find out that they don't even have rooms anymore.

The weirdest things related to poker that Wooly claimed in the thread were:

1. Saying he got banned from 2+2 based on some sort of popularity contest. A quick ten-second glimpse at his posting history shows he was banned for flipping out in some minor thread in a PLO forum.

2. Saying the famous pros he respects the most are Ivey and... Eli Elezra. Eli is a broke fish who made his money from various business in Las Vegas and then lost it all at poker. Singling him out as a pro that "me and all my friends" respect is so random.

Online poker was a gold mine from '03-'09. I was there for it and was just a lazy slacker who smoked a lot of pot and played video games as soon as I won enough money to live off of. It was a squandered opportunity. Plenty of crazy kids with obsessive personalities who got in at the right time made a lot of money. Game is a lot tougher now but if you learned a ton back in the day and have a big bankroll you can still grind out a profit playing live. I did it for ten years but eventually got a real job and now play on the side. I'm happier. There are a lot of annoying personalities in poker and I wouldn't want to sit at a table with them for 40 hours a week for the rest of my life. Online poker is dying quickly due to bots and natural selection. The fish are gone.

The fish, as always, are alive and well in Vegas.
As far as cash games and small (<200 person) tournaments go, Vegas has the easiest pickings. I've always called it a feeding frenzy, because there typically seems to be an unspoken agreement between 2-4 people at the table that you don't fuck with each other unless you have a hand and it's just a rush to get the money from the revolving door patrons.

I've never played higher than 5/10 (maybe 4/8? don't remember), so I can't speak for the high roller tables.

This is why I started the thread. Wooly came in and Lumie/Mippo'd it up and now it is the "make Wooly say increasingly autistic shit" thread.

I think that Bodog's U.S. site is called Bovada. I am going to attempt a deposit in the next week or so. I'll report back.

Just FYI, I play 1/2 Limit and NL Hold'em almost exclusively. I may branch out into microstakes Omaha if I can make this work.

Bovada is changing ownership or at least names in the next couple weeks, i'd hold off and see what happens with that.

I signed up. This could be fun. 10% of the proceeds could go towards cleaning Wooly's room.
