That's quite a patch, and it seems to pretty much fix everything that is wrong with the game at this point, but I wonder if it's just too little, too late?
On one hand I really want to get back in to it and check things out, on the other between BF1 and a few other upcoming releases I'm not sure it's worth the bother. Certainly sounds promising, though, and I'd definitely be down for the inevitable sequel since these guys have seemingly learned from their mistakes.

^^ Yeah kind of the same. I still have the game but have completely forgotten how to play. With BF1, and it sounds like Titanfall 2 is really good, along with FF15 around the corner, and me playing my PSVR religiously right now (I cannot get enough of PSVR) along with just about 5 other games, this is too late. Too bad it took them over 6 months to pull their heads out. Hopefully Division 2 follows all these changes and we can try again and hopefully it releases in March 2018 or so so there will be a lull in game launches.

Well tried it out for 20 minutes on rank 2 world/normal and did a respawnable boss and getting to him along with his drops got 2 set items 3 HE items of 2 were weapons. Well always wanted that to be in game from get go to just try out builds so not a bad change will have me playing this again for a bit. Im happy with it and see how the loot ends up being once i can do rank 4.

So the PS4 disc version is down to $14 at Amazon today (PC is $16 but it's not digital and I don't feel like starting over anyway) and I'm thinking about grabbing it since I had it from Gamefly before. I liked the game but kind of hit a wall on what I could do. 1.4 sounds great, especially since I only played the game solo... but do I need Underground? Or more importantly I guess, is Underground even soloable?

I'm torn. Seems too little too late.
I ran around the PVE map on the 4th difficulty (hardest) and killed a few packs of mobs and then went after a supply crate and got more loot. It dropped all 229 gear. Guns, set pieces, etc. Pretty ezpz to gear up. Ran a challenging underground mission with 3 people. It was fairly easy at least compared to what I remember and it was all 229 loot again. Mostly yellows but there was a few set pieces.
Content wise it seems like the PVE world stuff is nice but I'm not sure I care enough anymore. Maybe if I can get my friends to play again.

I wasn't quite as geared up. I was just over GS 200 before the patch and got knocked down to around 180 so I didn't have Tier 4 open yet. Tried to do a hard mode and the Underground intro mission but both of them were pretty brutal so I knocked it down to Tier 2 to do the Underground mission. Had enough credits saved up to buy about 10 caches to and got enough 204s to bump myself into T4 and then just wandered around doing the easiest (normal missions, 5 credit HVTs). Just a handful of bosses and level-up bonuses have given me enough 229s to get me to about GS213. I can't do hard yet (L33 purples are still L33 purples) but I can wander around and actually make some steady progress towards the gear sets I want.
This is all solo btw. I plan on renewing my PSPlus membership to go into DZ to do the daily/weekly objectives and PUG hard modes later this week. No one else I know who played the Division has come back, but right now solo seems fun and well balanced (using cover in a cover-based shooter! the horror!) and pugging missions was never that bad unless you tried to do Dark Zone or Incursions and they give the same level rewards.
A couple tips:
- Armor is king, they naturally decrease its effectiveness at higher world tiers so you need more of it. At WT4, I think it's nearly impossible to cap.
- The special weapons vendor at the BoO is selling a LVOA-C (Assault Rifle) with 3 really good talents on it. I bought a lvl 204 one and then bought a lvl 229 version when I went up to WT4.
- I did a couple hard missions on WT1 just to do the dailies, but it's pretty much a waste of time to go slumming in WT1 for a measly 10 Pxc because you get PxC from every cache you open. I went from broke to about 200 PxC in a few hours.
- You can buy sealed caches for 200k credits and they come with 10 or so PxC and a gear/set item. They are way cheaper than any of the daily HEs that the vendors sell so save your cash for those.

Got my copy in the mail today. I'm Vorph- on PS4 if anyone else is playing. I have zero interest in DZ but will be trying all the other stuff I didn't get around to before, and probably will grab Underground this weekend. No idea what sort of shape my gear is in, I assume it all needs to be replaced since I quit before 1.3.

The loot drops fast enough you will progress to a mix and match set in T4 pretty quickly regardless, then it's just a matter of eventually getting your preferred set pieces to drop and tuning them. Someone wrote a really good guide here:

I bought the 229 LVOA that was up for credits on the main base vendor, so now I guess it's just a matter of trying to get AlphaBridge parts from wherever. Not sure if there's a second AR worth buying with PxC now or if I should wait for the reset and check again, or maybe I should save them all for rerolling talents. I'm pretty much broke on credits now and only have about 900 PxC.

Although I'm a moron and just bought the PC season pass instead of the PS4 season pass.. Don't make the same mistake I did. Be sure to read the fine print on the version you are selecting. Now we'll see if customer support can just change my platform, or if I have to place another order.

I looked on ubi.com with the idea of buying Underground or the season pass, but as far as I can tell they don't offer it for anything but PC. The second DLC doesn't look interesting to me anyway, it seems like a DZ survival mode and I hate DZ shit. Just going to buy Underground tonight when I get home.

Credits seem to roll in pretty quickly. I don't see a ton of good crafting options at the moment so I sell just about everything. Nearly 2 million for the 2 hard mode dailies, and then spend it all on caches looking for gear set pieces. The caches have PxC in them so they come in at a pretty good rate as well. Once I have enough gear set pieces to start juggling items around to get set bonuses, I'll start saving up for crafting and recalibration but even then, I don't think recalibration costs are oppressive unless you are doing it 10 times looking for a near-perfect max roll.
Personally, I'm not sure what to spend PxC on at the moment, probably the lvl 33 Firearms mod blueprint. I need a performance mod blueprint as well but not sure where to find one. Dark Zone?
