About seven years ago the game eRepublik was played by 20 or so people on this board. We were pretty good at the politics of the game and had a nice impact. Eventually our influence allowed us to get Dokomo elected as president of Japan, which infuriated the old group of players that were running the country. They tried to steal all of the country's money as they exited the presidency but we were astute enough to track how the money was pilfered and rather quickly got it back.
