Please tell me I can change the single player flying controls, the default is an abomination.

I had the same response... I was watching planes in single player pull inverted turns and maneuvers, meanwhile I could hardly roll over halfway. For some reason it seems like they seriously gimp the range of motion in the single player planes.

In multi, I didn't have that problem.

I wish you could set different mouse sensitivity settings for planes vs infantry etc.

You can, under advanced controls there are sliders for almost everything individually.

WE’RE TWEAKING THE SUEZ MAP

Based on your input, we are changing the layout of the Suez map in Conquest to make the matches more balanced and the map size more fitting. We have expanded the layout to feature five instead of three flags. We’re also reducing the capture area size of the two control points located within the map’s villages (currently flag A and C) to create more dynamic matches. Furthermore, we’re adding one armored vehicle to each team’s base to give dominated teams a better chance to quickly get across the map and capture a control point behind enemy lines.

BATTLEFEST STARTS NOVEMBER 16

Bring out your calendars and mark November 16 with a big “PTFO” – a new Battlefest is en route. This week-long celebration of the Battlefield franchise will be packed with new activities, including log-in rewards, a livestream, a unique Battlepack revision, community missions, and much more – stay tuned for more information!

FOG OF WAR: INTRODUCING CUSTOM GAMES

As the first Official Custom Game, Fog of War will premiere at Battlefest. In this unique Team Deathmatch experience, you will be challenged by limited sight as you’re fighting in fog with the mini-map and soldier name tags turned off. You’ll find Official Custom Games in the Battlefield 1 Multiplayer menu.

NEW BATTLEFIELD 1 UPDATES COMING THIS MONTH

During the month of November, we will release a major update for Battlefield 1, filled with various tweaks and improvements. Among other things, we will be adding the Rent-a-Server Program, a new Custom Game and tweaks to matchmaking and server balancing.

GET READY FOR GIANT’S SHADOW

Giant’s Shadow is an upcoming new map for Battlefield 1 and will be arriving in December as a free update. Apart from the info already available on the Maps page, we will be sharing more about this epic addition soon.

There’s plenty more in the works for Battlefield 1, and we can’t wait to experience these new features and updates with you in the coming weeks. See you on the battlefield!

Well guess I'll like Suez less now on conquest since they are upping it to 5 points....I liked the three points, made it a good constant infantry battle.

I like the operations maps because they're a good combination of Rush and Conquest.

I encounter very few mortars when play, or I dont notice them because I play the map super aggressive so I'm in the enemies face the whole time

This is the best Battlefield since BC2. I hope it's Bad Company 3 next, with this engine.

I really want to see them either do that, or a World War 2 remake with all these new additions.

I guess I just gotta keep at it. And is me or do Scouts have pretty much no weaknesses? Seems like those guys are just as deadly from across the map or five feet away.

The main weakness is unless the scout player is at Rainman level skillcap, he's just a drain on the team sitting around trying to get kills instead of playing the objectives.

While I agree on the scout, I have started exploring ways to make him better. And I do believe there is a case for defending 1-2 key objectives for an entire game that allow your team to deploy in multiple directions.

Using the Experimental semi auto rifle and a crude rapid fire macro set to 53 milisecond delay, I have attained 2:1 and 3:1 kd ratios regularly when teams are evenly matched or it's a stomp and my team is doing the stomping. It gives the scout a slightly sub standard machine gun/smg. I think most of the success is them expecting me to only have a single shot since i'm a scout, and overexposing themselves trying to overwhelm me.

The shield itself is an interesting tool in tandem, allowing machine gun suppression fire in open areas (something that is completely unavailable to the standard support class). When deployed in hallways and bunkers it forces your opponents to hit space and jump over it. In combination with gas and smoke it allows you to create a speed bump around blind corners.

That said this is by no means an "uber" setup, but it is nice being able to play a short to medium range support scout with flares.

This is sort of proving my point though as you sound like one of the rainman type scouts.

I've heard those are just catching people who are cheating points, but I hope they're catching any possible hackers too. Been in some weird situations the last couple days where it's highly likely the dudes had wall hacks.

I picked this up after not playing any Battlefield games since the first Nam one. I am horrible and should probably go kill myself. :(
