My divorce will finalize later this month. Will give a full disclaimer of life events after papers are signed.

I'm in a really good place in life in terms of outlook and mood for the first time in years. Will share all that with you all later as well.
Can't wait to troll you about it until you ban me and start the first modding controversy of our new community.

Surviving a divorce sucks. Just don't go knock some chic up and have her move in with you. Rebounds can be brutal. Keep your head up and stay busy.

Well then that lesson has been learned. When my friends go through a divorce I tell them the following;

1. Don't let a chic move in.
2. Don't sacrifice time with your kids for a chic.
3. Don't move for a chic. Pulling your kids out of school because you want a chic is horrible.
4. Use a condom. If she says she is on the pill or has some crazy device in her vag to keep from getting pregnant she is full of shit.
I have two friends who have been burned by this.
5. On the days you don't have your kids? Get a fucking hobby or hit the gym.
6. Your rebound chic? Let it be that and move on. Anything more and you are setting yourself up for failure.
7. Don't buy/co sign for a car for a chic.

I am sure there are more...

My advice is to work on yourself because relationships very seldom end only because of one person. If you can come out of a divorce, honest with yourself, you'll do much better down the road.

I'm not upset over my divorce and I've done it before. Everything is going well this time around.

You been divorced twice?

Yes. First wife I was with for 8 years we married after 7 years and 2 kids. Six months later she was pregnant with twins from the guy she was having an affair with.

Second wife I was with for almost six years. She had a lot of issues at the end I could no longer deal with and won't go into to much detail on now, but anyone who followed the old thread knows about them. I moved out back in Jan after an altercation between her and my older kids and never looked back.

If you are able to move on and stay busy then I am sure you will be fine. Divorce is a little easier when kids are not involved.

That was always the hardest part for me. You go from seeing your kids every day to seeing them 1/2 the time.

Or when your wife has an affair with a police officer and you come home to an empty house...those suck too!

I always pronounce chic like sheikh and would never use that for "chick", but i'm pretty worldly.

To survive a divorce you need to keep yourself busy. Don't be that person that obsesses about your ex. Also don't turn to alcohol. You will fall into a brutal depression.

Yeah it's been a long time since that story was told, way back in FoH. It took me quite some time to fully get over it but I have a great relationship with my kids so that's all that matters really.

People do some fucked up shit in relationships man. I know I heard that before but seeing it again, thats got to be pretty scarring. Good on you if you came out of it ok.
