What vehicle do you drive?

Oh, I know. I only have 80K miles on the ranger, and its resale is something like 5,500$. Ridiculous for a 17 year old vehicle. Then I look at a new F150 and realise the price is too damn high. Holy crap.

Good used vehicles of certain type etc. Will fetch decent money because the prices of new is stupid. 2005 civic lx my wife had only 26k miles we sold for 7.5k last year...

They are suppose to release a new ranger- it most likely is going to be the size of the old 150s as the 150s are bigger now than some 2 or 350s of old lol.

Again with nissan but the Frontier is an affordable truck new, it's not fancy and fairly "old" in generation and often discounted- but a solid perfomer.

Maybe it's time I get a new truck.

Paid off versus 5 years of payments, that's a hard choice. Sometimes I wish I would have kept my paid off MK2 and saved 300+ a month for the last 4 years. However, it is nice having a new vehicle you know will start every morning.

Yeah, I'd never do more than a 2 year loan,l but I'd probably just pay cash for it. I don't want to tie up my capital in a new vehicle, though.

Saw a blackfriday ad for a mattress place offering 60mo financing - was like "that's longer than our CARS!"

60 and 72 are soo common- heck I have seen 84s and 66 months advertised - also saw a 10k down (that they finance for 7 years) on a 25k 7 year lease with a 5k buyout - 10k miles a year- and you have to do "recommended" maintance by the book the entire time... on a 30k MSRP car... WTF

5 years??? 24 month or less or you cant afford it

Shit credit from the 2008 recession. Lost my job, house, bike and had to move home with my parents to have a roof over my head. Had a hard time finding a job after that and I've just now been able to pull myself out the last few years. Stacking my savings and 401k and I hope to sell my ST and buy an S2000 outright in a few years.

Gonna resinstall the tank this week, then maybe I can actually drive it normally. Will get some rolling vids once I sort this shit out.

Nice looking tank, I'm not going to paint mine though, lol. Out of sight, out of mind.

Yea, mine is really exposed, so it needed it, plus it had exposed metal that was starting to get surface rust.

My bank offers 1.79% on 36 month new vehicle loans. That's dirt cheap. I would much rather have my capital available for investing vs throwing it into the car. You have to try especially hard not to earn a return greater than that.

Got some of my parts back from being powdercoated/painted/coated in POR15. They look cloudy in the pictures because I forgot to wipe the hand prints off of them before taking the pictures.

Don't worry. It's not truly midlife crisis if there's still a back seat.

I don't get how a 4 door sedan is a midlife crisis car. I have a carseat in my 911. :)

Cad needs to give me money, I want a GT-R

...and a dude with a GT-R in my old townhome area had kid seats stuffed in the back, was lulz.

The GT-R is a great car, I just didn't like how clunky the transmission was and it seemed a little less sharp than the Turbo. Also the prices were not that far apart between a Turbo and a GT-R and I think the Turbo will hold its value WAY better.

GT-R imo is a purist in what it is, unabashed power and control - it really is a rally car that they happen to sell to public - they half-ass attempt to make it look nifty inside and make it creature comfort inside and in ride.. while all the others are willing to sacrifice a few % points on performance to add a big % on comfort, interior design and drive ease.

With the sharp increase in price for the GT-R in the past few years (75k-100k) it has indeed lost a lot of its "value" - "75k for a car that punishes 130k cars in straight numbers and performance? sweet, a little blah inside? ehh okay" now "110k for a car that still slightly outpaces a 120k car and his shit for inside and daily drivability vs 10k more? nah"
