The differences in Chinese food vs. Americanized Chinese food even goes down to the supermarket sauce level. Actually Walmart is getting props from me, lately they've been carrying real asian brands, which i get from them cuz they're actually cheaper than an asian marrket(cuz it's Walmart, their air is probably cheaper)

For Sichuan, I'd say the best is Sichuan Jin, or China 88.
For dumplings, China town still has a decent Resturant but for the most part it's garbage.

In other thread semi related news...I am having Joe's Kansas City BBQ shipped to G's folks in New Mexico as their Christmas present...it is on its way. They were running a special of a "free" pound of brisket with orders. I ordered burnt ends, pulled pork and the brisket, some sauces too.
I enjoy both the giving of and the receiving of quality meat.

We do Magic Wok at Belle View is Alexandria. When we were in "North Bethesda" (Still think that is stupid) right by Gtown Prep, we'd be fatties and do Kenny's on the pike since you go so much food. Literally pounds. Not the greatest though.
