I doubt this is for quality, it's just the sheer number of people who get a regular vs. everything else (sprite, ice etc).

As most have said, the fountains dispense a mix of syrup/co2/water, the syrup lines are connected to 10gallon? (maybe 5) syrup bags encased in thick ass cardboard (so they can be stacked). A regular busy store probably changes out a bag every 4 days, coke bag would probably be every hour, so just store all that syrup in a big ass drum.

Going to the Chargers game on Sunday in Charlotte, 3 hours away.

It also happens to be the closest Jack-In-The-Box and I am thrilled to get me a sweet fries and an ultimate cheeseburger, no mayo. I might be looking forward to that more than the game.

i dunno if this is relevant to fast food but I just bought a batch of frozen taquitos. first time I fried them and it was horrible. Second time I microwaved it and it was amazing.
