It's been a while so I don't remember it all, but he sent me to Iraq a fuck load. Which kind of sucked (although it was also a good character builder).

Also made flying a real pain in the dick.

He established the 10% tax bracket, which Obama I guess decided to make permanent. I only figured this out from the other thread. Prior to 2001, we only had a 15% bracket at the bottom. The Bush cuts were extended by Obama for 2 years, which means in 2011 it should've gone away, but here we are and in 2017 the 10% bracket remains.

That's about all I can think off of the top of my head.

I did a lot of drugs in the Bush years and I'm now a relatively successful, well-adjusted 40 year old. Thanks, George!

Positives: He sent me money once.
Negatives: The TSA is the worst thing that has ever happened. I'd rather just have more 9/11's.

Mission accomplising is high on the list! He showed me that the slaves have learned to love their chains. He showed me that, really, America only has three or four dependable military allies (depending on how you want to count). He showed the entire world the limits of the American military and the results of a fools hope of half assed occupation. I would hope that he showed us just how cancerous military contractors can be. These things... they're not pleasant. But it is better to know them.

He also taught me how to say nuclear. I say it that way now.

For the list of negatives... well, it's pretty long one too.

If you weren't a leach to society, you would have gotten a $1500 pay check in 2009s.

I missed the boat on the free house money, I bought mine in Oct 2008, so I had to repay it back, if i would have waited just months, I would have gotten it free.
Cash for clunkers was used by family members.
AC unit with energy saving had a 30% tax deduction, that was sweet.
Tax rebate in 2009.
Opened relations with Cuba.

What does Obama have to do with weed legalization? All of those were State initiatives. At most you can say he didnt interfere once states started legalizing but thats kinda of like saying your rapist is a good guy because he didnt beat you when you tried escaping.

Lend covered it, but Obama could have easily stopped it. He made a choice about the role of his administration, it wasn't something that happened by accident.

He chose NOT to stop it, a choice to let it happen which is not the same thing as "oops, it happened".

And it's one of the few things that he doesn't toot his own horn taking credit for. Because it's a hard thing to take credit for. As you say, they were all States initiatives.

If you think President Rmoney wouldn't have cracked down on that shit and cracked down on it hard then I submit to you: that belief is [trump]wrong[/trump].

his bailout shit in 2009 saved my stock portfolio from melting down probably, world was hours away from financial collapse but probably romney would have done the exact same thing

The thing is, you're saying "Obama did a good job by inaction." No, Obama didn't do shit about marijuana. If he had ordered it to be reclassified, or campaigned on behalf of state legalization, I could see saying, "Wow, yeah, Obama had a huge impact on marijuana legalization."

Him sitting on his hands is a pretty retarded bar to set for "action."

It's the same thing with him helping blacks. Shit, just by doing the above he would've done more to help blacks in the US than any other President in the last 50 years. But nah, Obama would rather just pardon them all after the fact.

This is also true. He could have done better. A large part of what he did was kick the can.

But McCain, Romney? They wouldn't have kicked the can.

The next President, probably even Trump if he understand that he can do it, has a stronger position to call for reclassification because of Obummers can-kicking.

Made me involved in a LOT of awkward conversations.

Also indirectly lead to my insurance premiums more than doubling from what they were a few years ago.

I couldn't imagine the awkward shit a black dude who leans right would have to take in everyday life, especially if he was out of the closet.

- Gave my family tax cuts

Probably my biggest gripe about GWB. The guy enacted TWO tax cuts while initiating two wars. It was part of what spiraled the country into a massive deficit. Wars are expensive, why the fuck would you decide to cut taxes then?

Bush tax cuts - Wikipedia
The non-partisan Congressional Research Service has estimated the 10-year revenue loss from extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts beyond 2010 at $2.9 trillion, with an additional $606 billion in debt service costs (interest), for a combined total of $3.5 trillion.
