Digging through financial disclosures of non-profits and various schools that the Smith's have donated to, I side with them never being seriously involved in Scientology at any point-- and certainly not Scientologists.

They have given millions to Baptist, Catholic, and I believe Muslim-oriented schools and causes.

The fake "break up" article (referencing a refund from the Church as proof they have "broken up" with the Church and left with a refund of some kind...) was actually debunked as 100% fraudulent. I thought I should set the record straight.

I'll remind you that the records of the refund, as well as the tax returns, are public. They funded a pseudo-Scientologist school based on some loose principles of Scientology. But they have funded many schools-- so this is far from the smoking gun you all want it to be.

Case in point, I was raised and schooled Catholic, but I strongly identify with Judaism as far as actual real life goes. That doesn't make me a member of a synagogue.
