Pretty sure it'll be all platforms at once, Bioware/EA/DICE don't really have any reason not to do that and have never delayed a PC release before, unlike UBI or Rockstar who like to do that.

But yeah definitely buying on console and physical not digital, if the game sucks I can trade it in for $4-5 loss no big deal. Especially since when amazon first put up the listings they accidently listed the deluxe for the standard price for ps4/xbox, so I got the deluxe version for $48 for PS4. Hopefully its optimized for PS4 Pro.

March is going to be an insane month anyways, with the following games

I thought the same but i fired it up a few months ago and couldn't help but cringe at how rudimentary it looked compared to something like witcher 3. I did it mainly because I had gotten my 1070 and wanted to reply a bunch of old games with max settings.

Here for ya. Transsexual Shepard has a therapy session with a character written by Anita who tells transsexual Shepard it's ok to have relationships with other species even though said species is looked down upon in andromeda. In fighting ensues and a civil war breaks out in the galaxy. At that point in time just as you are about to finish the story line, Trumpers, an unknown universal power comes in to lay the smack down and the closing shot is the Anita therapy chick's face showing a look of pure terror. To be continued in 2 years.

Won't be buying day 1 but if they have the combat be the same or (by some miracle) BETTER than the absolute perfection that was the combat in ME3 I'll end up getting it at some point even if it sucks, will just wait for a sale.

I think my major concern for this is going to be how are they going to handle companions? A lot of the fun of ME1-3 was going off on tangential adventures with your squadmates because they had shit going on. The most memorable of which for me being dicking around on the Citadel with Garrus and doing the little sniper competition. Seeing how you're in a new galaxy with nothing familiar around you I just don't know how they're going to fit that in.

Have they said if this is going to have multiplayer like ME3 did? I'm definitely going to wait for good post launch reviews before I decide if I'll pick it up, but if it has multiplayer that's as good as ME3 i'd buy it even if the single player is shit.

Did I miss something in that "gameplay trailer" or does it look like you can only have 3 skills on your bar at one time? Cause that sucks balls even harder than the 8-skill limit in Inquisition.

Bioware Montreal did the multiplayer part of ME3 as well as the DLC for both ME2 and ME3. Given that the multiplayer in ME3 was surprisingly good with lots of post-release updates and the quality of the DLC, especially the Citadel DLC, was high I would think they are the best option for Andromeda given that Bioware Edmonton is working on "something new"

Because your hyperbole doesn't change the fact that Mass Effect is one of the best franchises ever and this looks like more of the same.

75% of Mass Effect is one of the best franchises ever. 25% of Mass Effect was such an awful cancer that it irrevocably tarnished the name.

Maybe 25% is too much, but it was definitely no less than 10%. The ending, anything with Kai Leng, the only difference between paragon and renegade being how many people you murder along the way, the ending, the fact that Javik was CLEARLY part of the main game that they cut out to charge for as DLC, the ending of ME2 not mattering, the nonsensical decision to move Legion's recruitment to right before the end of the game, Recruitment and loyalty missions constituting 75% of ME2.

Anything farther just gets nitpicky. I'm not saying ME2 wasn't a great story, but the gameplay still wasn't there yet and there were some pretty glaring design flaws.

Except that the studio isn't anything like it was when Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 came out. Since then it has been constant disappointment with DA2, DA:I, and ME3's story. It isn't hard to develop an ME3 horde mode in Multiplayer. I trust Bioware about as much as I trust Brad McQuaid at this point. Time will tell. But getting hopes up knowing the people behind it is futile. BF1 however was awesome. So yes, there is SOME type of hope they get it right, but they will definitely have to prove it.

For me Kai Leng was horrible and ruined a good Cerebus plot. The RPG elements like paragon sucked but not a deal breaker. Javik DLC not being implemented was shitty but he turned out to be one of the most racist and hilarious characters.
