the only reason why i'm not sure this is some dude on a bender is that he has the company vehicle. companies dont fuck around when you use their vehicles for personal use. its very odd that they dont have a way of tracking it down. i imagine they are looking for their truck as hard as the family is looking for him. thats assuming this whole story is legit.

Anyway, we have been driving around up and down any possible routes. Now that he has been officially declared missing, we are try to get access to his phone records to see the last place the phone pinged at. No activity on bank card, vehicle gas card, or anything like that. not sure if they will be able to try and ping the phone again or not.

At this point, its all just grasping at straws. Not sure what else to do but keep looking.

Keep us updated. Once he's officially missing you'd think law information could get phone access pretty quick. Bit disconcerting no activity on bank card but if he's running away for whatever reason he'd obviously chuck is cards/phone. Any big withdraws from bank in last year or two?

edit: wtf he was delivering a dead body? You probably mentioned that already but lol

Sounds more and more likely he ran off the road somewhere. Still hoping this turns out better, rather than worse, but you all will have to be realistic about this as well, of course.

It makes total sense to ask for help here. There are so many crazy experiences to draw from, maybe one of them will help find his brother.

Has your brother been trying to go without sleep for long stretches of time? If so, then you could check the local post office for reports of mailbox... abuse. Might narrow your search area.

Did the car have satellite radio? They might have a means to track at least if the vehicle is started or whatnot and when it was. That could help out with a possible lead if the cell phone ends up fruitless.

Yeah, it was worded poorly there. The company he works for does the removal (Picking up of the deceased body) for funeral homes. He had taken someone up to Jacksonville, where there is a company that does the tissue harvesting (For those who choose to be a tissue donor). He had made the drop off there and was on his way back when we lost contact with him.

Not something they do all the time but fairly regularly, wasn't the first time he or any of the other drivers would have been up there.

Well, they found his vehicle last night. It went off the road into a swampy/marshy area along the side of the Interstate. He was not in the vehicle when it was pulled out of the water. The vehicle rolled as it went down the embankment, so they are not sure if he was ejected or not.

They searched what they could last night and then searched all day today. The area that it went into has water about 20 foot deep, with a layer of marshy growth on top of it, so its been tough going. They have had dogs searching and also had divers in the water trying to go as deep and far in under the growth as they could.

At this point, they had to stop for the night and will likely not be able to search tomorrow due to the strong stormfront coming through our area. The plan, unless they can get a break tomorrow in the weather, is to start back up Monday, with more equipment that they can use to move around in the marsh.

Some people are still holding out hope he is alive, but at this point, we expect he did not make it, so we are hoping they are able to find him Monday so we can have closure.
