It would take some exceptional writing (good or bad) to have the spectators hate the humans with a cast like that!

I suppose that's true, but it's not so much the actors themselves but the situations the story puts them in.

This movie did enough for me not to be smacking my forehead every five seconds and Kong was just the main focal point throughout. Godzilla lacked presence in my opinion, which is why this is a better movie.

What's the post credits scene? Kong eat a nuke and get Godzilla-sized or something?

Characters brought in and locked in an interrogation room. Guy comes in and shows them some papers/slide show. Turns out MONARCH has been tracking monsters all along. Shows a cave painting of a giant moth with rays coming out of it. A three headed dragon/hydra. The MUTO from the recent Godzilla movie. And one of Godzilla fighting various monsters. Says this world belongs to them, never to us. Godzilla roar in the background. Fade to black.

Movie was amazing. Hope they go with this sort for the next Godzilla movie. I want giant monsters to be the focus of my giant monster movies. Not Kick-Ass trying to rescue people and Ken Watanabe looking morosely into the distance.

Specifically, they showed Rodan, Mothra, Ghedorra, and fat Zilla in the cave drawings.

Dude, just saw the movie today and I love it. I just love monster movies I need more of them, like Rime said. I saw it in 3d and I do not recommend because there's a lot of fast movement and it just looks like shit, but when they camera isn't ripped out of fast and the furious 5 it looks pretty great

This movie was awesome. But

wtf at the gas mask sword scene, so out of place.

Oh and, "Hold on to your butts!"

Saw it, great flick. I'm not a Sam Jackson fan, he's very played at this point but he was ok in it. John C Reilly was tremendous. New Kong was great.

After credits scene was very cool but they spoiled it right before with some of the credit text, anyone else notice that?

Is this movie okay for kids?

How old? Little kids, under 10 or so, might be too scary. It's not overly gory or graphic but people die frequently and fairly bloody.

There's a lot of violence... people getting ripped apart kinda stuff. There's a bit of profanity, if that's something that bothers you. I think I'd be okay with taking a kid, because I liked this kinda thing when I was little, but I could see some people not being cool with it. Maybe someone with children can chime in

I wonder if they were just going for some iconic look that people would dress up as for Halloween. Either way, it was weird that the movie turned into 300 for about 20 seconds

7/10 isn't bad for a Kong movie, considering I've never seen one over that.
Would be more interested if people rated it in comparison to the previous ones for value.

Hmm I found 2005 Kong watchable probably a 5-6/10 so in that respect this one seems worth a watch. Thanks!
I bought 2014 Kong and watched it once and I think I walked away a few times in it. Just didn't get my attention at all.
