What vehicle do you drive?

Yea, the biggest thing I learned from past failures and successes with building cars - pay cash. I saved up what I budgeted before I started this process so I could pay cash for everything.

Here are some shots of the l28et motor and my new turbo. The stock turbos are air cooled, the new turbo is water cooled. We had to tap the block and hand bend new lines for all the cooling, as well as relocate some oil lines. This took about 3 days to get right. The shots were of the motor in my first 240 that I sold, so ignore the poor condition of the engine bay - it was just to mock up the motor and get some measurements for intercooler piping (which we also have to custom make).

You ought to get some swagelok compression fittings to replace those rubber hose sections, it would look much nicer.

One of my favorite threads from the old forums.

I started assembling my new engine for the ae86 today, so far so good. The heat ended up overwhelming me so I intend on finishing up next weekend.

Looking good. I hope to have updates on the Z in the next couple weeks. We just put an offer on a house, so I may be preoccupied for a few weeks(months?).

I look forward to them, I'll post more of mine as well on bigger achievements.

I drive a POS 2000 Saturn. Someone stole my headlight assembly and broke into one of my small back windows + windows stopped working (all mechanical, no hand crank to open)

I drive a car

I ran into someone last week that said they didn't know anyone who owned/drove a truck. That's very hard to believe in the south. The only person I know that drives a car is my 95 year old grandmother and my ex girlriend.

I drive two trucks currently. My daily driver is a 2008 Z71 that has about 75k miles on it and my 2000 Ford F250 diesel with about 230k miles on it and still going strong. I had someone offer me $10k for it a while back. The crazy new diesel prices and they require the urea fluid or whatever it's called added to it and get much worse mileage. My diesel gets 21mpg on average if I'm not pulling a trailer.

Used truck prices are crazy and I hear/read lots of people complain about it. Especially when some models of just 1/2 tons now have a $50k sticker on them. Crazy.

We bought a 2012 ram 1500 with 20k miles for $22k in perfect condition in SoCal to transport our photo booth gear. They're out there for reasonable prices, just gotta put in some work hunting down the deals.

We have a Delica bang bus for all our holiday camping trips, just getting a new roof rack sorted here.
I built a bike rack for 6 bikes off the towbar..

It's a T28 off a Nissan Skyline running 9 boosts at the moment, 150HP at the wheel up from 94 :) dead stock engine.
Has run about 25PSI when the wastegate fail and it didn't blow up haha, fried the clutch so never got a power figure on the dyno at that boost.
I'm thinking about building a supercharger for it too so it'll be Twin charged, just need some time to start machining.

Damn. You're a braver soul than me. I stopped riding in '07 and it's been 4 wheels ever since. Wonder if I could keep up with you on the highway.

*I thought about it; I'm fairly certain you'd pull on me to about 160 and if we had room I'd catch up. But, that's a sketchy run.

Yeah, same here. When I moved to Dallas from a small town and almost got ran over 5 times in one day I decided to call it quits.

Man, you aren't kidding. For me it was seeing the crazy assholes around LA and San Diego. I swear they are the worst drivers there. I trust myself, but you never can trust anyone else. And, now that I'm in Texas, I see folks without helmets and just cringe.

yeah, those no helmet guys are fucking nuts.

My favorite was the guy that looked me dead in my eyes and changed lanes anyways with me right beside him.
