And in reality, the entire ride from 1-40 in this game was fun as hell. I enjoyed the mission style gameplay. Some of those missions were at least challenging, unlike anything in WoW that I was falling asleep questing in.

why can't i do both? why can't i go PLAY a book? i appreciate that games attract different people for different reasons. there are A LOT of people who are looking for a story driven GAME.

also, what i really found so upsetting about destiny is that there WAS an amazing story there. it was just buried in the codex or whatever it was. I'm all for people being given the option of skipping the story if they aren't interested, but you shouldn't make it DIFFICULT for people to get engaged in the lore. there was a TON of it and it was good. but to get to you you had to go searching online and it wasn't in any kind of order. it was an entire world's history presented in 500 random short stories.

That is something that should be front and center talked about and make sure they are held accountable to it and make them fear it will impact destiny 2 sales. It's the only way to tell people that make these decisions that they will get their ass kicked commercially if they try the same shit again.

The ultimate goal? Sell us DLC. Shit who cares about micro transactions at that point. But at least come out with what was intended from a game stand point and produce what you advertised for years. And produce DLC after the game goes gold and make it worth while. Not a bunch of cut shit already produced that fucks the entire scope of what was advertised.

I was just about to post something like this, but I figured it was too much.

EDIT : And I believe all those writers just got canned. Not like a big "in the parking lot" kind'a way, but one by one. I haven't followed this as closely as maybe I should have, but then again I didn't buy the game. As soon as I heard about it, I knew that someone somewhere would be following it.

I haven't played Destiny in almost 2 years and still have a lot of Top 1% in the World on destinytracker.com

Destiny 1 had both a CE (Dinklagebot talking model) and a LE too. There will be a beta, pre ordering at some retailers will give access but presumably there will be a wide open beta just like Destiny 1.


I'm really torn between PS4 Pro and PC. I think I'll stick with ps4, just because then I don't have to worry about hackers/cheaters, since bungie hasn't put out a PC game in YEARS at this point. If they support the same back end (ie don't have to level twice) I'd probably double dip. Plus as others have mentioned, the PS4 exclusives are nice and made a big diff in D1.

I started playing on the April TTK update and quit shorty before Rise of Iron. Picked it back up and went right back to the good times. I'll be buying PS4 because Bungie is about to get assfucked by cheaters on PC, and also my machine is too dated to look better than a PS4.

Also a xim4 user. I have deeply considered buying a modified controller (scuf, badger, xbox elite etc) because of what was mentioned a few pages back about the aim assist. I pretty much only PvP, and you can't drag scope for shit with xim. I resigned to a more direct method of shooting with more emphasis on aerial shots and primary play. Any retard can spam sidearms for cqc success. I haven't used a controller since PS1 and it would be a major undertaking to learn it on the backside of my 30s which is why I didn't get a custom controller already.

Really hyped for Destiny 2 atm. I didn't get touched by the bad man when Destiny first launched so I don't have any resentment for the company yet. From what I've seen they have made good improvements to the game with each content cycle. It would've been nice to see a good pvp balance patch go in since this is the last thing we will get before the next game. Sadly the PvP team makes alot of changes that go against how the player base plays their game. I don't have much faith in them going into the next game unless the last gen console really held this game back that much.
