The woman and I are headed to DC in the near future, so let's hear the board's wisdom on:
- Restaurants
- Bars/Breweries
- Things that are worth visiting or that should be skipped

Suggestions preferred within Uber range of DC proper, though we may have a car for a day or two.

Old Towne is great. Live down the Parkway. Cafe bahn mi has great pho and bahm mis. Bugbys is decent for a bar. Pop's for ice cream (fuck that other place). Faccia Luna over Pizza Paradiso (over rated).

They do movies outdoors in the summer, usually by the fountain in front of city hall. Sometimes they do others down bt the water.

Think Society Fair does some event nights. It's also a decent place to get meals to go.

Del Ray is decent to walk around (decent Indian restaurant) though I prefer the one at Belle View. Also Shooter McGee's way up Duke towards Asiandale is a hidden gem. Wing night, 1/2 burger night, lobster night, (forgot others) and decent bar too

Shooter McGee is a favorite of mine. Good call.
Caphe Bahn Mi is fantastic. Pricey but dammmmmnnnn that broth. Top 3 and I've eaten my share of Pho.

Here is a quick list outside the heart of Old Town not more than a few miles.

Sweet Fire Donnas (BBQ, half price ribs on Monday)
Rustico
Portner Brewhouse
Hard Times Café (Chili Mac)
Royal Restaurant (great breakfast)
Southside 815 (Cajun, Southern)

For Old Town my go to is Virtue Feed and Grain. Never had a bad meal there.

And about every damn Peruvian Chicken place. GD I am addicted to those places. Where have you been all my life! One place by Springfield has the best empanadas.

Second virtue. Wife and I go to date night place.

Oh for decent mexican with ridiculous serving proportions, I suggest El Paso.
