Plus, you had to expend those resources that you gathered to upgrade every single piece of equipment you had. Nomad, weapons x 2 (those damn points and the mats for them), armors x 2, Nexus, etc. It just felt like I was going out and grinding for everything up to max level to feel one tenth as powerful as I was in ME1 with an M8 Avenger.

Gee, what fucking fun.

I'm not saying he's wrong. It's just funny how angry he is, like those turds at Bioware specifically set out to piss him off.

Nah faggots in this thread gave me false hope and sold me on false pretenses. That they continue to try and spin this shit is why I must call them out for ridicule.

I'm not so poor that $43 dollars is going to break me, it's the fucking principle. That $43 dollars is now in the hands of some millennial retard who probably donated it to BLM or spent it on blue hair dye.

It's over an hour long, the tl;dr version is, it's a dumpster fire and he rarely talks about animations. What he's speaking mostly about is the 14 year old fan fic and emotional weight (or lack thereof).

I started a new series playthrough and I'm about halfway through ME2 atm. It's funny that despite having such deep story flaws, ME2 has not only aged reasonably well but the overall experience really makes it easy to look past how poorly constructed the story is. Despite having played through it several times before I still get completely wrapped up in it every time.

Still on the fence about 3. From Ashes, Leviathan, and Citadel are fantastic DLC packs but fuck giving them money, especially that much money.

Yah, they truthfully are.

Sad to see the Citadel as being the last ME DLC (or rather worth playing) for years. Gives a whole new meaning of sadness to it.

I went through a phase where I cared about 100%ing games then I realized I was spending way less time actually enjoying the games I was playing. I went and got one achievement in as many games as possible to ruin my percentage and it broke me of my addiction. It was very freeing.

Edit: I realize this part of the conversation is a few weeks old now. That's what I get for not looking at the page numbers.

Yeah I never really understood the trophy system. It can be fun, but at the same time, tedious. I would rather play through a game and enjoy it rather than in the back of my mind knowing I have to do some mundane/non trivial task to get a trophy no one would ever see I got anyway. That would be different if they gave some rewards for actually achieving the trophies besides bragging rights.

For all their flaws, ME2 and ME1 really were enjoyable games. And that matters more than the flaws. The flaws matter when you're making the next one.

Jacob was stupid though. There was no reason for him to exist. He added nothing. He actually did detract because of his hamfisted pointlessness.

Of course femshep could get some diggernick. I liked to think of him as my boytoy.

He wasn't pointless, he was just a boyscout playing off'a Miranda's bad cop attitude in the first mission. Only then to become more pedantic as time went on. It was good for a time, but I can see how somebody can think that way.
