I have a huge surround sound set up, large screen, lay back in the couch, and some of these games (Most FPS's) are infinitely better experiences than me either 1) Plugging my PC into my theater and still having to put a keyboard and mouse on my lap because I will get smoked against folks using a controller. 2) Sitting at my computer in front of my 24" Dell IPS with a keyboard and mouse and Bose Headphones. Steam link affords some cross over, but only in Single player FPS games as a result of #1.

+side of the PC is you can just assume everyone is using keyboard/mouse while on consoles only the assholes have the Xims
generally unless you are MLG level, you will lose a 1v1 battle in destiny if you are playing on a xim and the other person is using a controller. its been tested over and over by regular people. auto aim and assist acceleration are far superior than mouse.
there are rumors that there is going to be cross save in destiny 2 (same chars, all platforms) but i guess it wasn't mentioned today, hopefully a future reveal.

I mean half the people I played with last time had them and couldn't help falling all over themselves about how much easier it was. So maybe what you say is true, but from the experiences of people I played with that was not the case.

Made the mistake with the expansion pass last time and never even saw either.

I did and it was a great deal. I think last time expansion pass was $30 and it included 2 expansions, which were both retail $30 each if you didnt have the pass.

Depends on your friends. Most people I know have friends lists that crossover between all consoles and Pc platforms like steam and Battlenet. Those people have that choice. If you are only really friends with people on consoles then no you don't.
