Having not paid attention to this since the early videos, I think the graphics update looks really good, and the class/archetype video looks good as well.

Still some glaring flaws to the play part of it. But damn I might have to eat some crow so to speak the graphics changes and some badly needed help from unity cleaned up the lag a great deal. Everything is running way better. Now to see how it works with this weekend.

Tested a little yesterday. Graphics update is nice and seems to help with lag. (I was testing my EK, so no one around)

Harvesting and crafting going to be time consuming.

I saw you running around bloodbath east last night Strathor.

The new lighting system was nice on the eyes. Game felt smooth, biggest fight I had was around 7 people but had no hitching.

How will this affect the schedule?
Thanks to the aforementioned funding, we have been able to add additional resources internally to add this feature to our game without a significant effect on our schedule.

what exactly is the schedule?

Soft release at end of dec 17 or beginning of 18 I think...playing around with the new disciplines last night was a positive experience. Many of us were wanting a pvp mmo that is player driven, a sb 2.0 without the sbexes, and crowfall is heading in that direction. Bottom line is the code / server must support large numbers of players fighting. Excited to see how unity holds up when artcraft switches to 24/7 campaign testing on better hardware.

They promised open beta by the end of 2017 in yesterday's marathon stream session, so may be 2018.

Have to agree. The UI for crafting especially needs a lot of work. I'm assuming (hoping) it's far from done.

I logged on today for the first time in like 8~ months. I actually think it's coming together pretty decent. The game is running better, the controls and movement feel better than I remember. And the graphics look pretty great too.

Now, there's still A LOT of systems in the works, so it could very well end up sucking, but I think they're atleast on the right path.

Utnayan Utnayan could you, in a most objective way, make a summary about both Todd Coleman and Godron Walton influence regarding Crowfall development ? Some of your insight regarding ESO development was dead wrong but you wrote some interesting thoughts regarding how a nice ongoing game development could be impaired by bad management and amateur game design decisions.

I haven't played in months. Graphics were never my issue with the game. It was the poor performance and an almost complete lack of anything but placeholder sounds.

Been playing around with this a bit, it seems much improved from the few times I have tried in previous patches. They really need to get keybinding in there though before I give it a more serious try, wasd with numbers as powers make it so you pretty much are forced to use songs or non-critical items in 6-8 which is ok for some classes but is pretty limiting on a support where you need to allocate both offensive and support keybinds.

That said, I am pretty impressed with the progress they have made so far -- at least it doesn't feel entirely like vaporware, unlike some other kickstarted 'mmos'.
