They offer a platform for you to offer your services. By this argument sites like ebay and craigslist shouldn't exist either.

That's a pretty big false equivalency. eBay was built from the ground up as an auction website with a lot of their own tech. The cost of using eBay to do business is a small percentage of the sale price of your item, similar to uber but they actually built something worth paying that kind of premium for.

Uber is built on top of existing tech (google maps). I shouldn't say "they have no right to exist". What I meant was there is no good reason the company should be valued at what it is. They don't really do anything except for make requests to Google's API in their "integrated app" which is really nothing more than a re-skin. They are a middle man I don't *really* need and my rides are going to be 20% more expensive (at least) because of it.

Uber is more akin to a new color theme for FoH than it is to something like eBay.

I'm not complaining about it. It's great because it makes getting around metropolitan areas about 1000x more convenient. But it shouldn't be a Forbes 100 or whatever the hell it is company.

Another good episode. And wow for the ending. I'm not entirely sure what the picture of his head is supposed to symbolize, except inspiration, but it was a different episode. I can't wait for Dinesh to get busted by his "girlfriend". And I wonder if Laurie's proposal to Monica is actually a trap or legit? But more importantly, I wonder what direction this show would have gone in if Christopher Welsh (Peter Gregory) didn't die.

Was that picture with the code on it Gavin sent in the end not the same one from Richard and Gavin's first meet up this season where Richard was explaining how to apply middle-out compression to the new Internet idea? Or was that some new code Gavin left them? I can't remember.

Some people want to act like this show is still the funniest thing on TV because they can't admit its run is over. Its like people who desperately stay in a relationship way after it has ended only because they can't come to terms with the fact that its over. While the show has had some funny parts, overall this season has been pretty lame.

C'mon. People use "jump the shark" too loosely around here. This is nowhere close to post-season four Dexter. It still delivers plenty of laughs even if it's not as technically accurate.

Veep is still HBO's best comedy.

Agreed. Silicon Valley is good but Veep makes you wonder where some of that shit comes from. Their wit is phenomenal.

I don't even care if someone thinks the show has lost a step. People who whine because they have a minority opinion are pussies.
