Since I'm one of the few who liked Netflix Iron Fist, I picked up Immortal Iron Fist. Pretty good comic in my opinion.

Question, does Colleen Wing's nationality change from artist to artist? Wiki says she's Japanese American, but she looks Caucasian with reddish brown hair.
She's ALWAYS been a long hair redhead.

The only "asian" thing about her is her samurai spirit link from her mom, and she's always drawn as a white girl. (they might give her asiany eyes, cuz they can't resist)

My local shop opens in an hour I'm going to go pick up a copy just in the slight chance it becomes something.

Worst case I reward Marvel with $5 for fighting against radical islam.

X-Men Blue is interesting.

Opens w/ the young X-Men fighting Black Tom and Juggernaut, and Beast does some magic or something. Then concludes with a backup story showing that Jimmy Hudson - Wolverine's son from the Ultimate Universe, is in the Marvel U and they've since removed the pixelation from later covers to show that he's joining the team. Oh and they're being led by Magneto.

I've been told Weapon X is pretty good too.

I liked X-Men Gold. It's nice looking forward to X-books again.

are you kidding me? the art style is disgusting, you're not supposed to let off a team that can make Jean Grey look like an autistic anime character.

Eh, art was the least of my concerns going into these books. Was much more interested in if they were setting up a story worth reading.

i highly doubt Blue will be worth it, Bunn hasn't written anything i find to be of note.

I haven't bought an actual comic (digital or otherwise) in years, and I'll admit I pirate the shit out of most things, but Michael Turner has always been one of my favorite artists. Yeah, I probably have them somewhere downloaded, and I won't actually be supporting him directly since he unfortunately died way too young, but this doesn't seem like a bad deal at all so I went ahead and bought the $15+ pack.

Humble Comics Bundle: The Art of Michael Turner presented by Aspen Comics (pay what you want and help charity)

Really wish there were more artists like him around today, I might be tempted to pay attention to comics again.

I finally did it while in San Diego and bought a New Mutants #98 in 9.6 CGC graded for $450.

I ordered a frame to put it on my wall, it will be out of any direct sunlight at all.

Now to save up and get an AMS #129 and all my collecting will be done.

New Mutants #98 and #100 were legendary to me growing up. I'd oogle at them hanging on the wall at my local comic book shop thinking I'd never see what was inside them because they were so expensive. Nowadays that isn't really a problem.

My dad just moved up from Texas, he was going to bring all my old comics with him but a ton of them got given away to my cousin. Which is cool, but my dad did bring some of the more expensive/rare ones. Waiting for the pod to comes with more stuff, but he had these two with him. Not in great condition, but still cool.

That's awesome. At some point I'll end up picking up a couple of books like those, but I'm sure they'll probably double in value before I get around to doing it. So instead I just have this as probably my favorite in my collection. It's in bad shape, but meeting Stan Lee and getting a picture and his signature was priceless.

That's nice! We have some other pretty cool ones. My dad has Star Wars #1, which he's keeping, and I have the whole Venom/Gwen Stacey arc in pretty solid condition. My favorites are worthless though, the old 90s Dark Horse comics, Valiant (Solar man of the Atom ftw) and Vertigo stuff.

What's hilarious is, my dad gave all those comics to my cousin, who is 12. I think my dad forgot about the content of a lot of those. A lot of the 90s independent stuff was super explicit. I'm talking like 5-6 long boxes of comics, 5-6 more short boxes. Tons of mainstream stuff, but also like 3 solid issues of Shade fucking the earth, and a limited edition Boiled Angels comic from the comic defense fund. Kid's going to have quite the confused boner.
