Big Mac sauce is basically the same thing as "OC Sauce" that they put on almost everything out here

I guess I'm incredibly out of touch, but I'm in Sacramento, CA which I wouldn't consider very "upscale" at all, and I spend $12+ at Wendy's anytime I go there. Sure, it is still California, but not the fucking Bay Area or places like that.

I can't imagine how much money I'd have saved all these years if I paid the prices you guys are quoting.

Two Wendy's spicy chicken sandwiches is like $11 and has been for like 10 years. If you go off the value menus at fast food restaurants you easily dip into the $7+ territory. A lot of local places have "burger/sandwich/whatever and fries/chips/veggies" menus for like $9-10. But their specials are always like $12+ bucks. And that's what you're getting at some of these fast food places. It's a "special' limited time thing that's price gauged a bit and advertised heavily. So fuck it. Go spend 9 dollars on a 2000 calorie meal you're going to ever eat once because that sandwich is gone. If not go eat mom and pop's burger you can get every day of every week for the next 15 years for the same price. Or if you're being real cheap, just fucking get 4 1-2 dollar sandwiches/burgers. That's your best value if $2-3 dollars at a meal means that much.

Also if $2-3 dollars between meals is a major difference, I hope you don't fucking drink because that's a whooooole different irrational argument I don't want to engage in.

I go where the coupons tell me to go. If I want a soda I go to circle k for a polar pop for a dollar. Like tonight I'm heading to Arbys because I have a coupon for 3 beef and chedders for 6 bucks. Add the soda and I'm eating pretty damn good for 7 bucks.

Has anyone tried the MinuteMaid slushy things at McDonalds? I'm curious.

I had the cherry limeaid one the other day. It's okay, it was a little more liquidy than is probably optimal. It had a hint of lime which is what I prefer as I hate citrus stuff, but those limeade diehards would probably find it lacking. Their large is like 14 oz though or something.

Do you buy a premium sandwich meal, and do you buy a fucking frosty and dip your fries in it? cuz that's 12bucks right there.

Maybe the people who pay $4-$6 live in really rural areas. I remember this house boat restaurant we used to go to when I was a kid. It took nearly an hour to get there and this was when I lived on a farm. Amazing burgers and fried chicken. You could get a full meal for like $8.

That's right. The city hipster you all like to hate for being pretentious was raised on a farm.

I buy a spicy chicken sandwich, add cheese, and typically a salad and a chili for the sides. And a drink. And I flash my badass keychain for a free tiny frostee that I buy once a year. I think it went from $1 to $2 this year.

Heading to Noodles and Co. My freaking favorite. Any other lovers?

Got the Wendy's single yesterday @zzeris it was good but only because the veggies were great. At McDonalds the toppings are shit but the burgers and buns are better. Maybe the two could get married?

Oh and I got the dollar chx sand which but didn't eat it. I just got it because I've heard about it in here. There was a fucking wedge salad on the top of it. 0/10. We don't really have Wendy's around here so I haven't been in years.

I asked for a milkshake and they said they only had frostys. Then I had a 30 min drive home. YOU CANT DRINK A GD FROSTY. Who has time to eat a frosty?

Yeap, mine too. I go maybe once a year when they have something exciting. Last time was when the first round of cheeto melty things came out.

And I doubt the realness of that chicken patty, sure better than the dollar menu, but I sure not $6 good. I can get the Carls rib burger for that.

or Alex Alex No not so much. As others have said of you with the pretentious hipster taste/food and probably living on the fucking coast somewhere. In the mid west, it's not $2million for homes here. And likewise any sit down restaurant here, most offer various flavors of burger for $7-10 WITH fries or a side...

Lumping Colorado in with Wyoming or Kansas is pretty damn ballsy. I'm from Colorado and I can tell you that I can't even eat brunch there for less than $20 these days. Im not even from a mountain town (where I'd be lucky to leave a restaurant for <$30). I'm talking Fort Collins. 10 years ago I'd get a bean and cheese burrito smothered in some crazy delicious sauce at this place called Inca for $6. That was always my cheapest meal. There was a Taco Salad at Tres Margaritas for $8 that was a close second. Even delivered calzones and philly's were >$5 each and needed >$20 order to deliver.

Don't know where you're referring to. Village inn? I would rather lick a tire than eat that shit. I'd probably get less diarrhea from the tire, too.

I was going to guess Boulder, until you gave it away that it's fort collins which is trying it's hardest to imitate a mix of Boulder/Evergreen college. It wasn't bad 10 years ago but it's pretty awful now. Ya, hipster mecca of course most of the shit downtown near campus is expensive with artisanal bullshit this and that. But again, any of the chains McCheese mentioned along Harmony all would have those $9 burgers. And this is 5-6 years ago, so no, it's not $20.

Mountain Town? You mean estes/vail? Ski towns? Duh. Go to actual normal small mountain towns and it isn't bad at all. Certainly not some $30 experience.
