I was going to guess Boulder, until you gave it away that it's fort collins which is trying it's hardest to imitate a mix of Boulder/Evergreen college. It wasn't bad 10 years ago but it's pretty awful now. Ya, hipster mecca of course most of the shit downtown near campus is expensive with artisanal bullshit this and that. But again, any of the chains McCheese mentioned along Harmony all would have those $9 burgers. And this is 5-6 years ago, so no, it's not $20.

Mountain Town? You mean estes/vail? Ski towns? Duh. Go to actual normal small mountain towns and it isn't bad at all. Certainly not some $30 experience.

Yeah I hate that place. They're trying to be Boulder by jacking up prices for no reason at all. They think, if we make Fort Collins expensive enough, it'll be Boulder! We already have the college! I had a good friend and her bf who named their baby girl Luxlery a couple weeks ago. Trust fund hippies. Do you watch JP Sears? I feel like he is Boulder/FC.

The chains like smash burger? I am clueless to what you're talking about. Yes you can get a five guys burger for $9. It's not sit down. They have that green place where you can get your rabbits food for $13 and call it lunch for yourself. A $11 panini from spicy pickle. Cafe Mexicali is great. You can get a burrito there for about the same price as Chipotle. But you don't sit down there either. My fave new(ish) restaurant is Zequila. Fucking amazing chili rellanos.

The high schools there are pretty much a perfect triangle (Poudre obv not included). I think all restaurants have to cater to high school lunches. Of course everyone's parents are rich. I got $8 dollars a day for lunch in my HS days and had to eat one at home ($32/week). My aunt gives my cousin $60/week now. They're not even wealthy, just the "going rate" I guess.

Calling the mountain towns "ski towns" is sacrelige. They are normal towns you do normal sports in and one of those just happens to be skiing. "Normal small mountain town"s are called "______-- just outside of _____". Ps-- absolutely a $30 experience. You think mom and pops aren't going to capatalize on the Europeans who come around Aspen because it's "the best"? You cray.

I've very concerned about the forums most hated poster to be cringing. PS read the mfing sentence. I said Estes/Vail ie "near" by touristey mountain places. Last time I drove thru vail I think I received a bill just looking at the properties along the way. (Gas station was like stone and nice wood bedecked like hotel lobby!) I then followed up by ski towns meaning the other smattering of ski focused places.

Try going to Coaldale, Leadville, Buena Vista etc. Sure some are "oh 20 mins from xxx" but that's because the xx is just the nearest big touristy place. (So for example I already forgot the name of towns surrounding Glenwood springs we went to last year. But again cheap filling grub. Harder to find as everythings getting bought up and turned into those random overpriced microbrew bar/restaurants. BV is getting particularly bad.

Estes is near nothing. Nor is vail. Vail is close to vail. Drive an hour each way and you'll hit copper mountain or aspen. I was a serious skier and got in a horrible accident, but keep talking about how "cheap" the towns are.

Glenville springs is /= to cheap. My grandparents golfed there (I think)

Get your pretentious ass out of here.
Better than the sweet chili and sour cream lays? Those are deliscious that got posted here. However the more I tasted them, the more I think it's just a zestier regular just old fashioned bbq chip before they had crazy flavors, certainly doesnt seem sour creamey in any way.

I never found those Lay's chips, that's what I was looking for when I found those.

I just picked up a bag of those sweet chili garlic pretzel pieces and, no, I don't think they're as good as the sweet chili and sour cream lays. Then again, I've always been more of a chip person than a pretzel person. I will say that I think the sweet chilli garlic pretzel pieces are delicious though, and I wish the bag were bigger.

Just ate the entire bag in one sitting, had to go send them an email trying to convince them to keep the flavor. I really like it.

I don't think i've met a flavor of those pretzel chunks I didn't like.

Two of my college roommates live in Ft Collins now. I like it. Fun place. Good breweries. Cheap bars. Easy access to the mountains.

I read about half way through the page and had to check to make sure I hadn't ended up in some random thread of the travel forum through some snafu associated with the recent unpleasantness. Anyway ...

I can't remember who it was that originally brought up the Duke's Hatch Green Chile smoked sausages a while back (I know a few of you guys talked them up) but well done on an solid, A1 recommendation. I tried them a few weeks ago and they've become a regular addition to the shopping cart.

I wish I could find those locally, I've found the peach and spicy and both are pretty good but Hatch Green Chile is king.

Didn't have that flavor of pretzels here :(

Got chipotle and ranch flaming Cheetos. Hope it's good. The jalapeno Cheetos are my favorite
