Not sure about what he bought but King's Hawaiian does make Jalapeno rolls. I use Kings Hawaiian rolls for hot dog buns. Soo good.

They were I THINK store brand (Meijer store, to be specific) and called Ultimate Gourmet or some shit. That's why they weren't very Hawaiin, but they were definitely very jalapeno. Honestly they could get rid of the hawaiin part and I'd still get them. King's does have Hawaiin Jalapeno but I couldn't find any hotdog bun versions, just their roll versions. They do have King's hawaiin hot dog buns (regular), which I've had and aren't anything special. Their place is still at the top of the slider world with their regular rolls, I think.

My go-to hotdog buns are Martin's Potato Bread ones. Those are so soft and chewy. I love them.

Licking sticky Doritos fingers is one of the best parts. Lol at the thread's resident elitist to complain about getting dirty while eating finger foods.

I one time at an entire party size bag of nacho cheese flavored Doritos in one sitting and didn't lick my fingers at all until afterward. Was glorious.

Even better then that is getting the infamous flavor chunk. Just a chunk of the seasonings that managed to make it into the bag.

Anyone remember the X-13D Doritos? Basically the Big-Mac Doritos, what I wouldn't give for another bag of those.

I like Doritos, but for some reason I can't remember the last time I actually bought any, and that seems really weird. I guess whenever I eat them it's because someone else made them available to me at no cost, for whatever reason? And then when it's time for me to buy myself chips, I always get some kind of potato chips, usually kettle cooked. I never realized this before just now. I mean, obviously I knew that I prefer potato chips over corn, but if you ask me if I like Doritos the answer would be a very unambiguous "Yes." Or at least it would have been. Have I been lying to myself this whole time?

Same. I enjoy Doritos and will eat them if they're available in a bowl at a party or something. But the only chips I buy are tortilla chips. Or the occasional kettle chip or fancy pants potato chips like Deep River.

Or Grippo's if I'm back in Ohio. Best BBQ chips of all time.

The Jumpin' Jack doritos were my favorite but alas... they were a limited engagement affair.

I find myself constantly buying Snyder's Buffalo flavored pretzel bites over and over. I've also been on a huge kick of the Hawaiian Maui Sweet Onion chips. They also make them in onion rings which is basically a funyon but with the maui onion dust.

Someone brought cake today. Devil's food with whipped cream frosting. I avoided it all morning hoping it would be gone this afternoon. It wasn't. I just shoved an entire square of it in my mouth, standing over the sink in the break room. I am not proud of this confession.
It was delicious.

Well, I only got the thrifty part of the gene and a big crow nose. Pork is like my favorite.....

Reminds me, was in heaven, went to a Pacific Ocean marketplace. (Giant asian grocer with lots of very scary items) Got a bag of jumbo frozen bbq pork buns. Steamed em up last week. Heaven despite the pork bits likely being cubed fat and other bad chunks.

Also very very partial to these little round cakes, not sure what they are called or what ethnicity made them. Usually are taro, sweet mung bean, and a few other things sometimes with a hard boiled yolk in the center. Thing fits in palm of hand but is like 900 calories. Basically soft flaky layers of dough/crust forming a thin envelope over the paste inside.

that's mung bean cake

you'll either see it "stamped", which is the taiwanese way or more traditionally formed

like a mooncake.

however, if you actually got a yolk, thats really just a mooncake
10883939-Three-tradditional-Mooncake-with-one-cut-up-to-show-egg-yolk-Stock-Photo.jpg

which is eaten during late fall september ish(during the mooncake festival)

if you really want the best mooncake, my family has been buying this hong kong one for over 40years
moon-cake-class-17.jpg

chinatown prices i believe start at 40, depending on how many yolks per cake (more yolks, more money$$$), i'm sure as you get away from a chinatown area prices can go for 60bucks a tin box (they come as tins) for just 1 yolk.

I buy mooncakes for (white)friends, give them a cake, sometimes they'll happen upon a chinatown or even in china, and they'll find a bakery that is just making a mooncake, and it'll taste like shit compared to HK ones i give em.
