Feminists are pissed because Wonder Woman is "fat shaming" by product promotion of protein bars. :smuggly:

Oh don't spew that crap. There are no real feminists complaining about Wonder Woman. It's good. Feminists like it. Idiot contrarians might have an issue. These "feminists" are the tiny tiny tiny majority that are just idiots period.

Anyways, loved it. Gal Gadot was fantastic. I loved the combination of naivety / innocence / strength. Her accent is hot.

God this movie was poorly written. Skip it.

How did women on horses defeat a bunch of German marines with rifles?

Why was an American working for the British intelligence service?

Why did Ludendorff shoot one of his own officers after telling him it was extremely important that he move up the time table for the gas bombs? Does he want to explain his needs/demands again to the guy that has to step up and take command of the factory? I thought the German Army was running low on manpower.

Why did Ares send Chris Pine on his mission to stop the gas attack only to tell him he couldn't conduct the mission on the phone a day later? He even gave them money in the bar and then literally told them the next day that they couldn't risk ruining the armistice.

Why didn't the British Army exploit the breach in the German lines that Wonder Woman created? Did they go back to the trenches that they had been sitting in for a year instead of advancing?

Why didn't the German Army counter-attack after Wonder Woman and her ethnically diverse friends take the town of Veld? We could have gotten a pretty good scene where they do try to counter-attack and Wonder Woman kicks the shit out of them too. Defeated, the Germans deploy new lines around the village.

Why did the German Army throw a party in a castle within artillery range of the frontlines? Why were there no guards around the perimeter of the castle, just at the front door?

If Wonder Woman can lift up a tank why aren't German soldiers pulverized when she hits them with her shield?

lol. i didnt care about that stuff, i was too busy enjoying the film. its got a lot in common with the first captain america movie, but i also liked that. this movie had just the right hokeyness , they didnt go full retard. it was basically a perfect comic book film. the things that cracked me up was the complete demonization of the WW1 german soldiers and the fact that WW is invulnerable to basically anything yet still needs to deflect bullets, but its ok because when she has her shield up nobody shoots anywhere else but at that shield. great stuff. will see again on cable. i recommend this film.

Standard plot silliness for these types of movies. It's no worse than most movies of this genre. If you let this stuff ruin a movie for you, I don't see how you could enjoy any super hero movies.

is this movie just a bunch of SJW faggotry?
No, the only SJW'ness is what viewers make up in their own mind from a movie about a fucking Wonder Woman. The closest I could even come to thinking something had a "lecture" was the Amazons saying that mankind (humanity, not men specifically) are stupid violent fucks that don't deserve to have nice things. If you like superhero movies at all, you'll like this one. If you get caught up in minutiae like Campbell1oo4, you'll hate it.

You don't like any comic book movies then it would seem. Name one that doesn't have similar "poorly written" plot holes. I'm sure we can easily ruin that movie for you too if these are the things that bother you in comic book movies.

I loved both Guardians of the Galaxy movies and both Thor movies. One of my favorite movies of the year so far is Logan.

All of them have things you can pick apart, but there is a difference between a movie having a couple of plot holes and still being fun and a movie that has so many moments that make you say, "Wait what?" that it completely takes you out of the experience.

Wonder Woman is the latter to me.

GotG1 is Tier 1 gold
GotG2 is serviceable

Thor movies are shit you watch on the headrest of a transatlantic ride b/c you can't stand to watch Frozen again.

Finally saw this movie, bought into the hype, and was fairly disappointed.

It wasn't "waste of money" bad, but my god the last 3rd of the movie just dragged on for me. It felt like it needed to be 30 minutes shorter. I never liked seeing Gal Gadot as WW and still don't. She is just way too small and seems to have no charisma. Chris Pine was great for me, but couldn't carry the whole film himself, unfortunately.

If you haven't yet seen it, save your money and wait for the Netflix release so you can put it on in the background of a raid.

Oh, and fuck Zach Snyder. His chances are spent. I officially don't like his movies. He's dead to me.

8/10 for me. Story was decent and a lot of the fight scenes, particularly WW charging the front, were breathtaking. The villain was original, and the final showdown well done. Pine/Gadot made a good duo, and WW's naivete of the world was endearing. It can't touch Logan for the humanity factor, but I cared about the characters more than most superhero movies. Gadot was spot on, so I don't understand the haters. Her acting was fine, she bulked up, and she was sexy as fuck. She looked like WW in the flesh to me..

How did vietnamese people with no shoes defeat the most powerful military on the planet?
How did 19 middle eastern men with rudimentary piloting skills kill 3000 people and have the largest single economic impact in history?

How did this dude

Just got around to seeing it today, was pretty lit, id give it an 8.5 and the villain imo was better than almost all of the ones Marvel has used except Loki. The CGI on him wasnt amazing but the villain himself was pretty well picked and portrayed.
