To be fair, while the Taxi channel hasn't been successful for me, the Druid channel has. /join Druid, wtb port from ferrott to to 20p PST. Get a response, usually multiple, within seconds. With global channels, imo, it was silly to think you had to run all the way to CL.

Sadly the whole situation fizzled out.

A place holder spawned and was instantly melted. The other guys contesting the spawn said it wasn't worth fighting for and threw in the towel.

I was recording the whole encounter to upload for everyone's enjoyment. So sad that operation Trojan Assling was not a go.

i thought classic efreeti trash was see invis, thats why it was so hard to get too cause mobs were rough and popped fast.

Negative - unless you're talking pre-crafted classic - I never went that early to quote. But around when crafted got added, it was exactly as is now. Now that said, there was lots of rumors of EVERYTHING being SI because of the stupid roaming bats and the bat aggro range did seem much longer when I was younger.

Until Agnaar I hadn't camped efreeti in 17 years.

I've always just used invis to run past everything.

You only need to make it past the 2 circle rooms with the bats in the cubbies and its a straight shot right to efreeti from zone in with invis.

Lol, I was Lumis replacement tank for the guy who couldnt get a port. He was normal enough for the hour or two we grouped. I had zero recollection of how to get into the hole. On live you just jump in to go sit afk at the two gargoyles.

They are not just emus, those 2 especially pride themselves on being the most accurate. They made most of the servers based on logs of the real game.

They really aren't. That's their claim but it's like FoxNEWS being "Fair and Balanced" - it's a self given title of dubious accuracy.

If you ever want to have some fun try to get some of the devs to talk about how accurate they are.

Or even Rogean - since P99 used the first one you listed as a jumping off point, but then he had to tweak a TON of stuff to actually be closer to accurate because so much was screwed up.

I mean I wasn't really being toxic. Wasn't like "you guys are fucking trash blah blah blah". Was almost exactly word for word "lol what kind of group did i get myself into. 30 minutes for everyone to get here, mages running into mobs for no reason, enchanters that dont know they have a slow and a solo shammy as healer". So they booted me and so I trained them. Waste my time? I waste yours. Also I didn't repeatedly train them. Was one and done.

Nah but it's a common tactic to keep see invis up on the surrounding trash just to keep people from rolling up with invis on to try and camp steal.
