I'd say you'd be insane to give Sean Murray and co. $2.50, let alone $25. No amount of patching can fix the core gameplay (boring, repetitive shit that sets in even before leaving the first planet) or the most retarded "ending" ever.

If you sometimes are looking for a game to just sit back and relax and look at pretty scenery, it's worth the 25$. The gameplay itself is mediocre at best but it's not absolutely horrible, and if you enjoy games with crafting and having decent basebuilding it's pretty fun.

I wouldn't pick it up for anything higher than that though, not until more content comes at least.

So I had kept my copy after getting wallet raped. I played a little bit after the 2nd major patch went through.

Base building, more aliens, vehicle, etc - you have 3 modes now. A sandbox resource unlimited lego land, the main game, and survival mode. The landscapes have been heavily redone. I saw more water worlds, more creates, better creatures, etc.

With that said, after you enter the atmosphere of a planet for the 8th time, it gets old. Quickly.

Not sure it's worth any amount of cash at this point.

bought at release, returned to amazon after 30+ hours. Game was a POS, however, when it's free
on PS+ (if ever) then i'll pick it up again.

I still play this a few hours a month. To me it's a nice time sink away from other games for a bit. I'm enjoying the random exploration aspects.. It might not be for everyone, but I'm getting out of it kinda what I expected.

i still have a NMS disc (rebought for $5 at gamestop a few weeks ago) on ps4, will check it out. I never had any problems with the game, played a bit, got the platinum, traded it in and thought it was interesting enough. i'm down for a huge free update
