3 of those are promising. I can't say anything about emoji movie, though, but it appears to be liquid shit.

I liked him in Deadpool. He has potential to make something out of his career if he gets the right roles. That takes alot of luck though.

I saw him do some commercials and he did a voice of a nerd in big hero 6. Otherwise, I dunno him outside this show.

He's the voice of the paper route drug dealer dude on F is the for Family. So he's obviously already on top.

Richard is a huge hunk of shit, but it was a good ending. I laughed (while taking a drink of my beer) seeing all of the smart fridges in the store with the blowjob mime. The rest of the episode was so-so. With how much shit Richard was pulling, I didn't like that it suddenly all worked out in the end, but I still enjoyed the payoff. The company will crash and burn. I don't think the guys were planning on "sticking with him" at that meeting. I was under the impression they wanted to watch him beg not to be sued after he royally fucked their company up. Kind of like a last bonus for their time with pied piper before saying fuck you Richard.

The logic of Richard's character is that he is basically an autistic idiot savant. This show doesn't have arcs. It's a disjointed comedy where shit works out then crashes and burns, then works out, then crashes and burns.

What I took from that interview is that Miller wanted the show to be something that it isn't. And when they offered him less episodes he said, "how about none instead? No, Seriously."

Also he doesn't like a few of the dudes on the show. He seems to think the one guy is a primadonna.

Oh, middleditch is the lead guy. You know, Miller is probably right about that.

yep, charlie sheen.

I think that HBO and Alec Berg, specifically, kind of thought—and I guess apparently Thomas Middleditch—I guess they thought, “Alright, maybe this is the end of the character. But like everything in the show, we’ll sort of solve this and then it’s back to normal.” And they just didn’t imagine that I would be in a position of being like, “I think that’s it.”. . . I don’t know how smart [Alec] is. He went to Harvard, and we all know those kids are fucking idiots. That Crimson trash. Those comedy writers in Hollywood are fucking Harvard graduates, and that’s why they’re smug as a bug. . . . I think that in television you usually have one element that is very challenging, very frustrating. It’s an obstacle, right? So you’re doing the best work that you can do. Alec was that for me, and I think I was that for Alec. And a very good article was written that says that Erlich in the show is just this constant annoyance to Richard. . . . And I think in some ways, that is analogous to real life. I think in some ways Thomas Middleditch is . . . we have a contrarian relationship, like a big brother-little brother relationship. And this is also an opportunity for me to be like, “Let me just step off, dude. Like, just do your fucking thing. You’re amazing.”

Those two have worked together for a long time, so it probably was a breakup of sorts. Plus everyone associated with that show are raging SJWs, so you know it has to be a drama fest. Having said that, Millar is the most entertaining stoner bro of this generation, a veritable Jay for the millennial generation. And he was dead honest about everything, including being critical of himself, so I have a measure of respect for his choice, even if I don't buy into his politics.

I do think the show is fucked without him, though, unless the Gavin character really picks up the slack. The lead character is a neurotic unlikable shitball at this point. The indian guy is the character I personally gave the least fucks about every season. Gillfoyle and Jared are both quintessential straight men, but without Ulrich they will have virtually nothing to play off of most of the time. And Jian Yang, while killing it every time, was good because he had such a great target with Ulrich. I mean, who is Jian Yang going to shit on and have it be even remotely as funny? The whole reason that dynamic killed was because Ulrich deserved to get shit on and he knew it. There is no one left to be that target that lampoons the entire culture and makes those other guys work. Unless of course Gavin becomes the new main guy and is preyed on for his social ticks by the others, then it might work. MIGHT. There is an art to being the dignified asshole clown of a group and Miller might only be able to do that shtick, but he does it better than just about anyone else ever has, with maybe John Ritter, John Balushi, Charlie Day, and Bill Murray being the only other guys who do it better.

He is not wrong and not the only person to say that about Berg, in particular. I honestly think he is scared of ending up like Michael Richards, typecast into one character until he fucks up during standup by offending someone and ends whats left of a long fading career. He really seems to be a standup focused dude, like CK or Burr. That tends to eat up a lot of time and you get bad at it if you stay away from the stage for too long (case in point his most recent special sucked), so I am pretty sure that's looming large on his mind.

i dont care if he is right, charlie sheen was probably right too about the bullshit on his TV show. the idea that both think they are more important than fellow cast members including one of the the show runners and going with that in public is a pretty big dick move and more importantly his business thinks what he did was a dick move as well. name one up and coming actor who walked off his show, publically belittled cast and crew members and suffered no consequences? at least charlie sheen had a boatload of dough after he self destructed.

It is a bit annoying that we're just following a cycle here. At the end of this season Richard has a hot property being courted by VCs and Gavin wants to buy them or crush them. This seems a bit too familiar.

Well he specifically said he was bored with the repetition and wanted more family time. What's worse, him leaving on a high note at the peak of the show or hanging around for a few mediocre years collecting an easy paycheck by phoning it in? This is not a guy who is cratering his life and banging hookers here. This is a dude who wants to do more kids movies and hang with hit family more. Yeah, he is an asshole, but in my mind its the right call and I appreciate him being completely honest about it. Its what makes him interesting and relatable to a lot of people.
