I play on Elysium casually and just found out about this drama today so I tried to catch up with whats going on.

From what I understand;
Elysium folks were accused of corruption, community raged, devs/etc quit instead of trying to clear their names, Elysium project leader raged. now elysium has very few coders to continue working on bug fixes and content.

4/10 rating, would not read again. not as juicy as p99 drama

Private servers are such a shit show. This is why we need official legacy servers.

Just saw that The Rebirth shut down. Kinda sad to see as it was a fairly decent server when there were actually people playing it. I remember early on in the servers history when the chests in Azshara would respawn every 5-7 minutes. Managed to get enough gold for an epic mount and enough herbs and minerals to max alchemy and blacksmithing before it got nerfed.

Things have been dropping a bit, here's a population chart for all of the project's servers.

Zeth'kur is being merged in a week, to Anathema if they don't choose another.

I'm still having a ton of fun playing on Anathema.

Any good TBC realms launching soon?

Word, warmane is developing a TBC server which some people in my guild have been playing on.

This is about what a vanilla server had on it back in the day, but under half the peaks we were seeing 3 months ago.

Warmane seems to be legit for me on the Outland server. 15k players, they ban loot ninjas and 5x xp to 60.

I'm loving it.
