keep contemplating this and have been holding off. Liking the car?

I'm coming from a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid...so, the jump is unreal. It's incredibly comfortable, the settings are fantastic, and it feels like a very safe car. Really love it.

Here is my new Ruckus. Sorry if the picture is fucking massive.

Gonna pay off a credit card, then start buying parts for the GY6 150cc engine swap. The weight limit according to the manual is 220lbs, and I'm sitting at 290 in boxers, so it only gets 35 MPH with the throttle pegged lol, and I already have my motorcycle license so there's no worries there.

Need opinions on the Cadillac CTS... Dealer I bought my Cadillac ATS from contacted me that they have a Cadillac CTS V-Sport (Premium) available (this is the V6 twin-turbo) that they are willing to sell to me for a pretty good price (I previously expressed interest in purchasing a CTS-V, hence why they called). We were discussing consolidating our sedans (Cadillac ATS and her Lexus IS as we also have a SUV and truck) and buying a larger sedan later this year as-is and were leaning towards a Lexus GS/GS-F, Infiniti Q50S/Q60, or a MB E-Class

Thoughts, opinions? Anyone have longterm experience with Magnetic Ride Control that can comment what they like/don't like?

I know this is from a long time ago, but I'll comment on the Magnetic Ride Control. Absolutely fantastic. I've driven my dad's S class with the Benz air suspension, and I have my BMW 650 GC with the adaptive suspension, neither of them can hold a candle to MRC. The MRC and the overall driving dynamics are top notch on both the ATS and the CTS; however....the rest of the car (both ATS and CTS) are not really class competitive (imo). The interiors are not up to snuff with the Germans and CUE is god awful, quite possibly the very worst media interface I've used

Same color as the one I got ran over on at an intersection last October, I miss it :(

I don't know how you go from an ATS to a CTS-V. The CTS-V must have some miles on it I'm guessing-- or you are looking to spend some money. Probably a combination of both.

The magna ride is great. Its proven itself to be able to sustain up to 100k miles. However if you plan on running track, the car is avoided by enthusiasts because of suspension blowouts. Trackers will go with an BMW or a Porsche over a CTS-V for that reason.

One thing the CTS-V has is luxuries that aren't found in the Euro cars, as well as various design options. If you want maximum luxury you get the CTS-V as its unbeatable and close enough to the M3 and M5. Regardless of the suspension issues, especially as a daily driver and not a track car.

Some info on the official forums and racing forums.

A common theme spanning the last decade seems to be "Corvette shocks last forever", comparatively to the CTS-V, but take it with a grain of salt. Corvette is also an early magna ride sports car.

Anyone replaced rear shocks on a 09-14 Cadillac CTS v? - LS1TECH - Camaro and Firebird Forum Discussion

The magna ride is great.

They have advanced this tech? cool - I thought they scrapped it when they took it out of the first SRX - that's where I got to know of it. Its quite a cool idea to change the "thickness" of the fluid dynamically via electro magnets and metal shavings in the hydraulic fluid. Although I am sure its not as "simple" as that - its a cool idea, glad they have moved forward with it- it worked well then...just was $$ and not as durable even for a "normal" crossover.

I'll echo these comments; the CTS (V or V-Sport) will handle well, be plenty quick, but have a terrible interior compared to the higher end German cars. As much as I loved the gen 2 CTS-V (Wagon, blue, 6spd) I'm over the looks. I'd personally choose a car with curves. Reliability should be fine as well. The GS-F is also a really cool choice and it'll be fairly rare, but I struggle with the performance-per-dollar ratio. Plus, a heavy car like that needs more torque.

In the end, you'd probably be happy, but we can't answer that subjective as accurately as you. If it's a great deal and you're not upside down, go for it.

What was the name of your first pet? Who was your childhood hero?

In other news, I picked up a brand new, 0 miles fresh out the crate 2016 Honda Ruckus yesterday, for a better price than most of the ones on craigslist. Pics to come later, it rained the entire way home on it, lol hurricane season.

Are you going to do any mods to it? Gy160 swap? Stretch it? Etc?

Is the V-Sport the wagon?
Nah, it's just another trim of the regular CTS and ATS. It's the twin turbo 6. The CTS-V and ATS-V are separate models with the V8. Over 200 more hp and over 20,000 more on the price.

I originally wanted to get a CTS V sedan, but they were unable to find much on the dealer auctions for months, so I settled on the ATS as we needed another vehicle. I told the dealer to let me know when they tracked a V sedan down (hence where we are today, but with a V-Sport instead). Bought the ATS a few years back as I wanted something sporty, comfortable, and something I could get a good deal on (if I couldn't get a V). We have other vehicles, but we are essentially wanting to consolidate (and get something larger).

CTS V-Sport is essentially a larger ATS-V would be more realistic. V-Sport has essentially the same engine just different turbos and connecting rods (both are 3.6L twin-turbos; ATS-V is not a V8), same transmission, and also same suspension.

Definitely the GY6 150cc motor, maybe big bore to 171cc, with the stretch to fit a fatty back tire.

Looking online, there are some absolutely gorgeous modified Ruckus, and I'd love something even half as nice. I need foot pegs soon, and I plan to do a lowered seat frame as well asap.

The corkscrew exhaust is over the top, but I love the look, red is my favorite color.

Yea, I had big plans for mine. I knew that engine code didn't sound right.

I have a NYC gas tank cover I'm about to throw away if you want it. Needs to be re powder coated, if you are interested let me know, I'll let it go cheap.

This was always my favorite one, of course they no longer make that wheel and it pissed me off something fierce that I couldn't get it.

Why the fuck would a grown ass man want a scooter?

Because it gets 100 miles to the gallon, I drive my Subaru like 1000 miles a week for work, I don't want to run stupid little errands in it too. I live in St Augustine Beach, it's perfect for little shit on the island, like going to the gym or grabbing a meal out.

1000 miles a week. Ouch. Is driving your car part of the actual work?
