I suppose its about that time for musicians of my generation to start offing themselves. I didn't realize the whole childhood rape thing about his history, but heavy drug use as a lead singer leading into suicide is hardly a new topic in music. Damn shame.

Linkin Park, System of a Down, Creed, Disturbed, Nickelback pretty much ruled the airwaves in early 2000 during my college years.

Time to queue up Chop suey on Spotify, before they kill themselves.
even if they do kill themselves, i'm pretty sure you can still listen to them on spotify.

No one kills themselves by hanging these days.

He was jerking off, plain and simple. Jerking off, cinched the belt around his neck a little too tight and never woke up.

That's what I'm going with. Him and Cornell went the way of the Carradine.

Spent a huge chunk of that summer listening to all that, for better or worse, whatever the radio station was looping, while killing shit in Kunark. Good times. Alarm goes off and "In the End" starts playing. Time to go to class or try to find a KC group?....

Yeah I was way into nu-metal in the early 2000s too when I first started high school. Linkin Park, System of a Down, Disturbed, Flaw. SOAD is the only one the remained in my listening rotation because those first two albums are excellent.

I saw Chris Cornell open for Linkin Park when I was in college. Left before Linkin Park was finished, but Chester joined Cornell on stage and they slayed Hunger Strike. Was really cool.

Fucking thing sucks. They were a bucket list band of mine and I had tickets to see them in Tahoe in September.

I saw them live at a summer festival right as they were getting a lot of radio play, I was unimpressed, and never hopped on that train. For some reason them and 311 annoyed the shit out of me for being super derivative.
