Yes, I deliver medical equipment to patients homes around north Florida, sometimes I drive as much as 300 miles a day. Then some days, I don't have to work at all, so it's nice.

Thankfully my suby averages 31 MPG, and I get paid $0.53 per mile, on top of my salary and bonus.

Burren, the tire stretch is partly so you can fit a fatty tire on the back, and partially to offset the engine so the tire lines up with the frame. They have different offsets though, up to as much as a foot i think. I'm worried if I stretched it a bunch, my fat ass would make the frame scrape without a heavy shock.

I'm a commercial driver living in Orlando, that sounds like a job i wouldn't mind doing. Would you mind PM the name or names of company's that hire for that sort of thing. Doing a search right now but thanks if you provide the info.

We haven't opened in Orlando yet. Look up Stryker Medical, they do similar things

I remember reading somewhere that when they were making V8's more efficient they lost a lot of their nostalgic noises, so the manufacturers added special vibrators / noise generating somethings to bring the sound back even though it was fake.

Am I just making shit up or is this true? Explains how that headline is possible (didn't read the article).

V8's are pretty nostalgic all on their own in 2017. I can't see myself driving anything else. My little way of sticking it to junk science and California.

@Kiroy Companies like BMW have exhaust and engine sounds piped in through the sound system of the car to "enhance" the experience. But, it's doesn't sound natural and many people disconnect that function.

The Mustang thing in question is different; butterfly valves in the exhaust open and close depending on RPM and load to make it louder. Very common on performance cars around the world, these days.

The BMWs have exhaust valves too (and have for a very long time). The issue with the sound pumped through the stereo is kind of a double edged sword. Models like the M5 that have it sound great via their own exhaust, its the unbelievable level of cabin damping to eliminate any exterior noise that made them put that fake sound in. Definitely has mixed reviews though.

I am pretty sure the new Raptor has the same fake engine noise coming through the stereo as well. Though, the problem with the new Raptor is that the V6 sounds like dogshit.

Jeez Hekotat Hekotat could you have found a brighter green? Lol

Glad you got your GROM.

Since I got ran over on the Ruckus I wanted something people would see. If I get ran over again, I'm gonna go hulk mode and throw what's left of my bike on to their hood.

2014 300 had it now for 2 years,(stole a shot off the internet, looks exactly like this tho) time to put new tires on it.
225/60-18 99t Firestone factory
Need some advice.
Also wanting to put a brake kit on it as the factory discs are just too weak and have been warped.
220km to 0 time is way too scary.

Where do you live? If you are in an area that gets some mild snow and don't want to have to change to snow tires constantly, get some Continental ContiSport DWS 06 or Michelin Pilot AS3+ tires. Those 2 are essentially the best all-season tires you can buy whereas the Continental generally gets more favorable winter performance (Michelin gets better dry and rain performance) and is cheaper than the Michelins.

In terms of brake kit, are we talking rotor swaps (this will add little for a day-to-day improvement), pads, or literally bigger/better calipers? You may suffice with just getting better ceramic pads.

Live in British Columbia Canada so snow is a factor. I will check those tires out.
As for the brakes, the rotors have been turned 2x now and have to be replaced so I want to do a complete (rotors, pads, calipers) swap.

Those 300's are heavy and I'm sure the OEM rotors are just barely up to snuff to slow that thing down. You have two options...

1. The first and cheaper solution is that you can try is upgraded rotors (Slotted/drilled) with better brake pads and SS lines.
2. If you just have insane amounts of money to blow it appears Stop-Tech makes a full beefy upgrade for 3k + installation, assuming you don't do it yourself.

Just google Chrysler 300 brake upgrade (Add your year model in there) and lots of options, stores, shops pop up. I recommend researching before hand, maybe find a Chrysler 300 forum and see what others have done.

Weight? Zero chance I'd take one up the highway to work, but if circumstances change I'd maybe try one for in town kind of thing. Was never interested in motorcycles from working at a hospital and knowing other drivers and my own balance. But that's when thinking about >500lb bikes. If something was light enough to not have me in constant fear of just rolling over my leg but is classier than a typical asian scooter...
