I am going on a 5 day camping trip with New this week. I bought a fuckton of food; fuckton. My cart was so full I could barely push it by the time I got to the register and I am quite strong really. I was going to list it all but thought I would just show the receipt instead. GOOD GOD.

I see you did not avail yourself of the 50 gallon drum of lube that Costco sells. I don't think you're properly prepared for the weekend camping trip.

Steak and Shake doesn't get enough representation in the thread. And great to see someone appreciating their chili, I've had better at little mom and pop type places, but they're best of any chain I've tried.

It would probably benefit by hot sauce, but my S&S doesn't keep hot sauce at the tables. (I've never thought to ask though...) And yea, I do it all the way generally - not on pasta unless I'm doing it sans burger though.

I was a fucking madman today.

for lunch I packed hummus on rye (sloppy and overloaded, couldn't see the bread. thinking appealing to gluttony would help me eat better), raisins, and two sliced radishes.
I was like 3, maybe two spoons in. snacked a few raisins. didn't even dislike it, but I was like "WTF am I doing?" Quietly got up from my desk and walked past coworkers and dumped it all in the garbage.
Drove to McDonalds got 2x McPick 2's: Big Mac, Quarter Pounder; Fillet-O-Fish, Fillet-O-Fish add Sriracha Mac Sauce
Using the app, I got a free sugar coffee with cream and a large coke.
They gave me regular Mac Sauce instead. I showed them their error and ate the Mac Sauced fish sandi at the counter
In my bag, without me asking, were two BBQ sauces, and I accepted. Quarter Pounder was dipped.

Took a small nap while on the clock and am still full through dinner (which I knew I would skip)

because it's bullshit and overrated/
to be fair though, I've only seen them in places where they are outclassed. If they were at either of the strips by my work, they'd probably be in my rotation.

For my area, they outclass everything but Five Guys - but having a better price and table service often makes them win out for us. At least that's my experience with them out here in FL.

Eh, we've got Steak & Shake, McD's, Checkers and BK for the low tier burger joint options. None of those good chains I've heard tales of like Shake Shack, In-N-Out, etc exist out here. I'm sure there's a chance they'd be trounced if we had a real chain out here though.

Shake Shack is also highly overrated shit. I can't believe people stand in line for more than 5 minutes for their mediocre burgers and shakes. Five Guys, BGR, Fatburger all have better burgers, and Chick fil a is streets ahead when it comes to milkshakes.

It's on the east coast. Know a couple are in NYC.

I think Steak n Shake is pretty fucking good. Good burgers, fries, shakes. Solid all around. I thought there weren't any out here but there's one in Daly City. Still too far.

Going to be in the Boston (Andover) area for 2 weeks starting next week. Any recommendations my west coast ass should try? Was able to try steak and shake in Cleveland, and wasn't that impressed. Where else?

I'm pretty sure most shakes there don't even use real ice cream. Some sort of shitty shake base instead
