Wind forecasts from the Euro model. Florida is fucked. Georgia might be even more fucked as they're probably not built to withstand hurricanes at all.

There's also some nerdy weather forum talking about it. Looks like its starting to strengthen again. Might be the biggest hurricane anyone sees in this lifetime.

the coloring on this image is sooo retarded

I've thought that multiple times this past week. Who's fucking idea was it to reuse the same colors at the top end of the scale. Make the top end shit brown or something so we can at least make jokes about getting dumped on or something juvenile like that.

That's Jose.

And yeah, it would have made more sense to re-use the greens and blues (or purple) and shit before going back to the browns and reds. Makes it impossible to tell wtf is going on.

Speaking of Jose, it's apparently a category 3 hurricane now. So uh, good luck to anyone in Irma's path because you're probably getting tag teamed.

We're staying. If you don't hear from me by next Friday, +1 to the pool.
I won't be in my house, but I have pretty high confidence in the house I will be in. As much confidence as you can have! Just hoping that if it's a cat 4 when it gets to ft lauderdale, we're on the west side of the eye and it's a low cat4. Wish us luck!

Hopefully you're in a situation that the only hurricane you should be afraid of is:

By all current models I'm only going to be getting the outer bands, but the Southern tradition dictates cocktails all the same. Once she makes landfall I'll mix a glass for you.

Those were still the 8am models(the times are next to the actual model names). This is the 2pm update. Not looking too good...

Ya, those were changed( a few of them ) from the 8am model but that is what I get for updating before they were changed over officially to 2pm. You'll notice every 6 hours the map zooms in and they move around but the time doesn't change until all are updated. I had to get some sleep though. It had a model they normally don't show though (NGX2)

Anyways, more graphical images of impact point according to these newer models and wind fields at:
Tropical Center: Latest Tropical Activity
Also pretty sure that this impact point would be a 15-20 foot surge to Miami.
