Bad Company 2 was fantastic.

I think one could argue that BC2 is a vastly different style game than every single other game on the list. BC2 was an arcade fps (ie CoD-like) more than a BF game.

It looks just like the first one. Which is.... Fun. If you liked the first one. Me? My money's gonna be steering way clear of this one. Too much of the same kind'a one shot nonsense that the last game was.

That's funny because the forums are filled with people whining about it being too different from the last game. I've been playing it for a couple of hours and it's an all around better game than the first. I think my favorite part is that it's not just a "one shot" shooter like the last game as the TTK has been increased pretty drastically.

The space pew-pew looked pretty cool watching Lirik's stream. Thankfully I can try it out for myself this weekend. Kudos to you EA.

well, they probably just have better things to be doing since open beta is in 2 days

Well, I was watching summit play this (and fair, I know that he was a pro CS player... So, yeh, I know it's not really fair to compare it but...) and he was headshotting people left and right. One shot, one kill, sorry... My money's gonna find another place to die.

Yep! For the uninitiated, here's how you get beta code for PS4, XB1 or PC via EA Help/Support.

1. Click here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/?p...e=invalid-code

It should select Battlefront II for PS4 with "Invalid code" issue. Change platform to PC or XB1 if that's what you desire.

MAKE SURE IT SAYS "INVALID CODE". That's the only way I can guarantee they'll give you instant code. Also make sure you're picking the correct region (e.g. North America, Europe, etc).

2. Login with PSN/XBL/Origin

3. Whatever email address you see is the one it'll send the email to. Doesn't matter if you change it. Check your EA account email, first and foremost.

4. Send a generic email about beta key. Here's mine:

I'm gonna go ahead and call bullshit on this. Unless he's was using a sniper rifle that didn't happen. Sacriel and Summit were playing together this morning and I watched while I was downloading, and there no mass of one shot, one kills going on. Not to mention I played most of the afternoon and never died from a single shot unless I ran into a hero. Spend your money how you like but the game is quite a bit different than the first.

It's like you're in my head. The power ups in the first game were lame. You'd have to fight people for heroes or ships. Now you earn them through play and it's much better. I also really like the class system and how you don't die instantly every time you round a corner and actually can fight back if someone sees you first. Overall this game is vastly improved over the last and the fact they got rid of the season pass/paid dlc is a nice touch.

And i seriously fucked with my graphics settings for a half hour thinking something was wrong with my game because of that god awful static in the hud and text. I absolutely hate it with a passion. Dunno who thought it was a good idea. Other than that, though, I'm impressed with what I played, the game is beautiful, plays great, and I can't wait to try out the single player campaign.

I played a few games last night. I have to say I really like the changes. It is a lot more of what I wanted from the first one to be initially. I was puttering on the various classes and they all seemed pretty fun and useful. Flying was a bit different than the first as it has more options for more complicated flight mode haha I was barrel rolling like a total derp. I turned it to a flight mode more like the first game so that is an option for the aviationally challenged like me. I figure once I get some single player modes I can turn more of the advanced flight model back on and figure out wtf I was doing.

Looks beautiful and even the derp droids of the federation felt pretty damn fun to play with and I am not a fan of the preequals. The best change is just earning in game currency to unlock heroes/vehicles during fights instead of the fuck stupid hunt for the random power up BS. This way if you want to pilot the at at or substitute you can pay your 400 battlepoints and hop in and start blasting stuff. You want to fly you can do so as soon as you get the points and there are some more options for various aircraft.

Still pretty limited on the modes at the moment and maps in beta but from what I am seeing it is pretty much exactly as I hoped it would be.

I really want to buy this but I know the map packs are going to kill the player base.
