Not anymore, for a while it checked off beta everytime and finally it got to where I would uncheck beta and it would stick. Just started in the last two weeks, go to a stream and stream is all black with an error message. Hit the play/pause button brings up the stream paused and error display goes away. Hitting the play/pause button again starts it. Who knows, at least it works. I didn't care for the beta only because it would automatically reset display to max available. Lot of the streams I really don't need to watch in 4k or 1080 so I lower it. But in beta it would always default back to whatever the max was for that stream.

Dude who created the Doc character is a straight up genius. Haven't watched much of him, but every now and then I watch some highlights on youtube. Such a great shtick, wish I thought of it.

There is a youtube vid from years back of him talking about creating the character while he puts on the makeup, wig etc (he used to have a fake stache too). He's a smart guy when it comes to understanding what makes a successful twitch personality; I imagine working as a level designer or whatever he did for one of the Call of Duty developers helped.
His followers get to be a bit much at times but that's true for all the popular streamers.

became so popular quit his damn day job and now makes probably 4-5 times as much cash for playing video games and not even competitively. crazy.

why bother making up a whole character thing? seems like most of the big twitch people are just more or less being themselves, playing games or whatever. just making sure they have good sound equipment, computer and internet connection.
it can be good money, but what people forget is that sucessful twitch personalities usually have a pretty big team behind the front person: mods, programmers and artists for overlays, scripts and equipment maintainance. a lot of salary money going out too.

Fuckin' A ads are back in full force. I'm getting swarmed by budlight. Last time this happened I switched to HTML5 player and it fixed it but now I don't even see an option to change players or what to even change. Anyone else?
I changed to Mozilla but that shit is eating up 90% of my CPU for some reason so I'm stuck w/ Chrome + ublock.

Definitely this, picked up Twitch 5 and haven't seen an ad since. They have gotten completely out of hand with every time I was switching a stream I'd get an ad. All that does it provide me with what product I won't be purchasing because you endlessly spam me with it.
