Those commercials for the 5 dollar boxes at Taco Bell and KFC are bullshit, they are always 6 dollars.

around here they're $5 but they don't give cinnamon twists/nachos and cheese like Taco Bells elsewhere do.

Yeah no shit since when it $5.99 = 5 bucks.. They are some sneaky Jews.

Still I forgive them because Baja Blast, and Volcano tacos, and the Doriots Tacos, and being the cheapest fucking place to eat in the 90's... you could feed a family of 10 for like $3.25 at Taco Bell back then.

Got some corndogs from sonic today. They, uh, tasted like corndogs I guess. But at 50 Cents each I’m not going to not eat them that’s for sure

$5 Taco Bell cravings box was indeed 5ish dollars, I upsized my Baja blast to XLarge for an extra 10 cents. Ended up being $5.54 I believe. Get fucked, lesser states.

That just reminded me that it's Hatch Chile season and Taco Bueno has a Hatch Chile quesadilla that is fucking amazing. I know what I'm having for dinner tonight.

I still prefer the Steak Doubledilla with a side of spicy ranch.
the doubles had too much fake meat for me, the ratio was all off and I rarely get the steak (to check my prejudices) because it's always tough and chewy and flavor-lacking

The family split two of the Michel Angelos frozen dishes I linked earlier (too deep to conveniently find and bump)
In short, that guy was a fucking liar and ya'll were right.
Eggplant is disgusting. I never had it before, but fuuck (fuuuck?) that. It was like a slimy mushroom.
The meat lasagna had wayy too much noodle and not enough filler. Sauce was good though.
I got excited about the eggplant due to hype + in store it was last box while there were like 10 of the lasagna.
In short, lasagna is fine for office-freezer backup lunch option, but for the home, spend twice as much for the Stouffer's and eat 6x content.

Followup on the stuffed doritos: low temp+longer time makes perfect consistency. Flavor remains technically gross, despite me still enjoying it. Would try nacho.

I used to hate their steak items too. I dunno if they changed the recipe or anything on their steak, but it seems better. Mind you I never get steak burritos and stuff, so it may just be I never really noticed.

Kinda surprised no one is talking about the Papa Johns 'waaaah the NFL hurt us' business. Then again I suppose the jury is already out on the many failings of Papa Johns.

What is remarkable, to me anyway, is that something as simple as Pizza can be so incredibly fucked up by all the national brands. I mean this is not precision cooking necessitating the exercise of extreme culinary skills. Its flour, yeast, water, oil topped with fresh stuff and then baked at a ludicrous temperature.

Went to Arby's for the first time in a long while. I'd always get the chicken bacon swiss sandwich. Did they change the fuckin' chicken? The patty felt like some breaded chicken loaf you'd get out of a box in the frozen food aisle. Went again a couple days later and got the deep fried cajun turkey sandwich. Not too bad. Loaded fries and the butter cookie shake were A+, though.

I always get the CBS at Arbys too and it was the same last time I got it, chicken breast. It costs around the same as spicy chicken sandwich from Wendys which I prefer though.
