I have CenturyLink and the speed/stability is not generally an issue. I have bonded to the tune of around 80M.

I pay for a static IP as well for $5/mo so I can easily RDP back home.

So the other day it goes out and no clue why. I have connectivity but can’t access anything. That starts two days of troubleshooting involving one day on the phone with them for 7 hours. They make me go in to the store and get a new modem. No change. I can reach my gateway IP but can’t get past it. I can even ping my “neighbor” IP’s. They finally switch me to DHCP like I asked to help troubleshoot and it works. So it’s only my static IP not working ... they put a ticket in and it’s been two weeks and it isn’t fixed. They are still charging me for it of course.

Yeah no way 12. 100 is 50 less than what I have, but after this most recent price hike it will be almost $40 cheaper a month and I’m pretty sure CL doesn’t have caps. If I actually get anywhere near 100 without drops I would be happy
Careful. They absolutely have caps but most door to door salesmen won't mention that and do some bait and switch.

They are basically where Comcast and Cox were before they decided to enforce it.

Has verbiage in their disclosure that over 1TB they may give you warning and could terminate service at their discretion after multiple warnings but they outright state that they won’t charge overages.

The problem isn't the down especially if not torrenting, it's the less than ONE up.... JFC. Lots of issues with that even just attaching shit to email/forums etc.

Anyone know much about the xfinity mobile $45/unlimited 20soft cap? Tempting for wife if the coverage isnt ass? She is on a really old verizon true unlimited plan for data but is paying absurd monthly for it. Like I'm embarrassed to post it. Used to be she used less but lately would possibly be getting close to that 20gb soft cap before throttling, but she could also improve on actually using the wifi at home now that I chunked fucking century link.

seems that xfinity mobile runs over Verizon's network, I use to have that grandfathered unlimited also, had to switch eventually though work stuff(Needing global service removed it =/) but I'm on wifi as much as possible these day's don't even come close to the 20soft cap..

That cap is horseshit particularly for that price. They can fuck right off.

That’s like a couple of hours to reach the cap at max download speed right? It’s one of the areas I hate about the current administration, someone really needs to bring the hammer down on these chucklefucks.

I get 300 mbs for 99 a month but its no cap. I am now able to stream 4k here and I would assume that would chew threw a 1TB cap in no time.

I used to complain mightily about AT&T internet vs Cox here in OKC, but after years of advertising Cox still doesn't have Gigablast available almost anywhere and I am sucking down AT&T's Gigabit fiber for $80/month with no caps.

Nothing pisses me off more than a large company such as TWC not having a fucking automated email system when your debit card get's declined.

Like the 3rd time my service has been shut off because I didn't know it got declined. Fuck you TWC!

Not to defend TWC, but why are you using a debit card and not a credit card for online autopayments? That's just a bad idea for multiple reasons.

I'm super OCD, I like to know when money is flowing in/out so I don't get any "Fuck you" surprises. Those auto-payments have fucked me so many times in the past when I made shit money that I don't like doing that, seems they always want to be pulled out a the worst times. Eating 200 dollars in overdraft fees stopped that about a decade ago.

Yeah... our Cox bill just went from $83 to $93 and last month had $50 in overages (coincidentally the same price as adding unlimited) ... now gig service is available for $120.

The ironic thing here is if someone steals your debit info you will literally have the worst "fuck you" surprise because it's real money

It was actually compromised 6 fucking times last year, every time was after I went to Home Depot or AutoZone so I stopped going to both. They cover that luckily.
