It annoys me Nintendo doesn't capitalize on their fanchises, though. A Prime Trilogy remake for Switch would have sold me on it day one.

Obviously it depends on your personal finances and time so I can agree that I'm more on the impulse buying side of it myself. However both Zelda and Mario have been two of my favourite games in a pretty good year. I really find it hard to overestimate how good I found Zelda, and Mario is on par with 64 in my eyes.

I really want a new Animal Crossing game so that would have been what I had waited for if I'd been a little more frugal.

I mean I genuinly am sorry, not only did you buy a piece of outdated hardware like me, but unlike me you actually seem to like the 3-day old fresh salad they sold you at a premium price.

There's nothing to refute. Literally any emulated game looks better with enough development time.

No one is trying to refute that because literally no one purchases a Nintendo console or a Nintendo game for its "looks". We have PC's for that.

The exclusives that look beter while emulated? I adressed portability earlier, so why would one spend 350$ or whatever on a Switch?

Any EMULATED game. You're running a game on beefier hardware and without marketing constraints. CEMU gets an insane amount of funding and has incredibly talented developers working on it.

The above statement can be applied to all consoles, especially when almost all "exclusives" tend to end up on PC anyway officially or not with better graphics and a mod community that console fanboys can only dream about. Yet, why does anyone buy any console if PC is clearly master race?

The one thing the Nintendo Switch has that I can't get on my PC currently is its portability, and that's why I have one. Being able to play anywhere I want at anytime is something that appeals to me as a gamer. I've used my Switch in my car, on break, and during vacation. Its portability has introduced me to some games that I would never touch on my PC or traditional console. I have no interest in playing a game like Stardew Valley at my computer desk or on my TV, but being able to play a few farm days from my bed at night is something I find relaxing and fun. If you don't care about portability and you purchased a system that's all about portability and heavily advertised as such, you only have yourself to blame.

If graphics are the thing you care most about go checkout the Desktop thread and put together a PC. With a little googling around you'll realize you can eventually pirate/emulate nearly every game you can think of with better graphics than whatever console it originated from and you won't even have to pay the retail game price.

So why do people buy PS4/Xbone? If graphics is the be all end all, everyone would own a computer. Comparing a computer that can run Zelda on 4k to the Switch is retarded. The graphics card needed to run the game at 4k alone cost nearly as much as the Switch, and with zero constraints (cooling, power, size, etc). No fucking shit it's going to look nicer.

Prime 1 & 2 would work great on the Switch, 3 they would probably have to re-do the controls(sense it was so motion base)

On emulation while yes Nintendo is using a Tegra chip(and as far as x-rays show it's an X1), nobody knows if Nintendo changed anything inside the chip (unless they have done a electron scope on it) so switch emulation is a long way away still.
